Some of them are but certainly not all....Faurlin looks made for the Premier league...Kenny looks good.....Derry has only looked poor in one game....Helguson, whilst not fantastic, certainly doesn't look out of his depth and Taarabt is far, far better than a top championship player.

IMO I think NW knows how to handle Adel and is one of the best man managers around who knows what really goes behind the scenes but I do agree JB could be a factor in pushing him one way or the other. The main difference between this season and last is that NW knew without him we were never even going to reach the playoffs, hence the unfair good Chamionship player tag, however I also believe that NW knows he will not be the difference in us staying in the Prem or going down and therefore he can be a little harder on him.

I believe unfortunately he will mature at a slower pace and probably will find out how to become a real professional in a few years of doing the rounds much in the way Anelka has become the player he is today as their temprament seem similar. That just is not good enough yet to play a consistant part in our or any prems team. I would love him to start being the player of season from today but I think I am fooling myself to think he will great this season or even in several to come.

The comparison with Anelka is a good one, a player who with Arsenal seemed to have the world at his feet but through a mixture of greed, over-inflated ego and bad advice became synonymous with the well-earned nickname 'Le Sulk'. A career that should have been stellar has been full of 'what might have beens'.

If Taarabt had any sense he would look at all the 'Big I Am's' that have disappeared into obscurity over the years and realise the only way to get the real plaudits is through hard work and performances on the pitch not showboating and giving up when the going gets tough. Any abuse he gets from team-mates is surely well-earned...

I can see that I'm well out-numbered on this one and I can see the other side of the argument. I stick to what I've said though and what will be will be!

Undoubtedly he is our best player in terms of potential. He shined last year in a competitive but relatively skill free division playing in a team that was set up for him. He has the opportunity to do the same this year in a much more difficult environment, which will prove that he is quality. He should be measured for goals and assists, both zero so far. Redknapp did not believe he has the temperament to reach the very top, and this guy knows his players. Comparisons with Zidane are silly, di Canio less so - he finished his career with a reputation and little if anything in his trophy cabinet.
QPR has a legacy of having at least one highly skilful maverick in the team and for me this is a key part of our identity. Adel is the current version, but I am getting sick of his behaviour, and of we can get rid and replace him with someone more consistent I won't be sad. If he scores some goals, lays loads more on and humiliates a few defenders I will be much more tolerant and I have a strong sense that today v the Spuds is set up for him to turn it round

My take for wjat its worth
Adel is brilliant, but at the moment we, QPR are not and we have to fight and push for every point, and thats how it will be this year. I now believe we really can do it...but this year is survival....and all the team 11 + 3 all have to do that for 95 minutes. Adel doesn't. If he was truely truely good he would get us two or three goals up before anyone has noticed but as yet he hasn't (perhaps today against Spurs, because of any matches this is the one he will do it in.). That is the problem. Man City can carry Tevez and Bartolli, when their minds are wandering, Chelsea...Anelka...but we cannot afford to play matches with 10 players on board. Last week Adel tried loads but gave away so often...but yes he made the penalty with a through ball. It is a hard call. If were a team player he would accept the role given to him, and go all out to impress whilst he is on...and then everyone will come round, even Joey.

Sorry for the rant, I am a bit worried about this afternoon...As I don't think Spurs will fall for the same trap as Chelsea did last week....Spurs have intelligent players!

AT is one of the most naturally gifted players in the country. However I do not believe that he will ever make it at the top because of his mentality.

There have been lots and lots of calls for him to "grow up" and this is the problem.

Adel can't "grow up" because he has a mental age of somewhere between 10 and 14. This cannot change over time.

I think that Neil now appreciates the fact that AT will never change because he is unable to.

We just have to hope that he can get more involved in games and produce that something special, otherwise he is a luxury we cannot afford if we are to stay up and progress.

I think Warnock has decided to take a gamble on Taarabt this season, it's a make or break one that he's got about 50/50 chance of succeding with.
Last year we wouldn't have had a snowballs chance without him. This time around after Fernandes arrival NW have better options at his disposal and knowing he can further strenghten in january he can adopt a "tough love" stance with Adel.

If i doesn't work out i can't see it being a bad thing, like said above he's like a young Anelka and we would never reape any benefits and would be better off without him. But if it works the rewards can be enormous, and that's a gamble worth taking.

After today's performance we will be lucky to unload him in January. Zidane my a*rse. Doubtless TBGWTDT will be back on defending him, but perhaps this 'grubby little country' really doesn't deserve this talent (I like your posts DT, but sometimes you overstep the mark and I did not like this - speaking as a former far east and European expat who loves other cultures, have some respect). We owe Adel for last season, but he's running out of chances and I have run out of patience.

They'll see him playing and think "Bugger me, if he can get a game every week then so can I!"
