Completely agree - not 100% yet but did more than enough to warrant a regular appearance.

Agree with Col about the joy of watching him play.

I completely disagree with the people saying that Mackie is average/useless. Hasn't he set up both Young's goals at a time when the goals/assists aren't exactly flowing from everywhere on the park. Does anyone honestly think Smith would've made Evra look so ordinary?

    Agree here too.

Mackie gives 100% - he plays like you or I think we would - giving 100%, do or die attitude.

He was very upset at being taken off at Anfield (well at least I think it was Jamie Mackay and not Fulton Mackay!!!) - and didn't do much wrong - he was asked to play up top on his own for the first 20 minutes which was hardly his choice. His crossing yesterday wasn't the finest, but he can develop this side of his game.

I'd have 1,000 Mackies to every 1 Rob Hulse everyday of the week.

I loved watching Adel play briefly yesterday.
How much fun could we have had if he was brough on sooner?
Imagine if he'd nutmegged rooney or something..
Would've raised the crowd after that gutting first goal :/

What i said about Adel weeks ago i still stand by i wish i could find it now he is not the same player now because we wont let him play the way he wants to,every one said yes its because we have better players around him now but where has that got us 3 points from the drop zone, its a bit like torres if you dont play him how is he going to find his feet in the premiership, i think we should play him on a regular basis IMHO.

Last year NW made AT the centre of everything we did. At times when it was obvious to everyone that it wasnt working he still stuck with the AT method. Now we have JB. Everything that happens goes thru JB so it really doesnt matter what happens on the field NW will never drop him. I think NW is a very stubborn manager and it may well be his downfall. We got away with it last year but we wont this year.

NW should repeat what he did on Sunday... bring him on as a sub so he can prove himself. But if I was in charge, I'd be bringing him on a little earlier, especially if things aren't working.

Apparently it's the 'go to' currency. The rumour is that this will solve the Euro crisis and Germany are secretly printing 'Hulse-marks' in preparation.

You'll see people queuing with wheelbarrows full of Mackies just to buy a loaf in the New Year.....

    :)

I seem to have opened a hornets' nest with this thread.

    Summary so far:

    - Most of us enjoy watching AT when he's doing what he does best (genius football)

    - He annoys the *hite out of all of us when he's an imbicile (stropping & strolling)

    - NW should give him a last chance to prove himself and that he is learning from his childish ways

    - After he's been given his chance, if things haven't changed, then goodbye (& thanks for last season) Adel

No surprise, I'm an Adel fan (more precisely a fan of inventive football) and I'll be the first to put my hand up if he does get his chance and fecks it up.

So Adel, please, "STOP THE STROP"!

I think that as soon as he gets his first goal it'll be game on and he'll be right in the mix again with some great performances to come. If only he had his first goal at Swansea with that lovely shot.
