Good couple of games or not, I would still rather Kenny between the sticks if fit. Otherwise, would agree with the line-up you suggest.

Glad to see so many of you coming round to my way of thinking re Barton and Taarabt. But I think you're missing one of the main reasons why our midfield is looking so leaky. It's not just Barton's poor form, although that is a big factor, especially as he doesn't seem to give a ****. I think it's our change to 4-4-2. With Derry and Faurlin holding, Adel was allowed to be free and do his thing, linking up with the other 2 behind the centre forward. I would drop Barton, but failing that, I'd revert to the 4-2-3-1 formation:
    Paddy
    Young Ferdinand Gabbidon Traore
    Barton Faurlin
    Mackie Taarabt SWP
    HH

This will be nothing like what NW will pick though! And as someone said on another thread.....if Bothroyd is picked ahead of Adel against Sunderland, I'll give up!!

Barton couldn't have proved my point better today and Adel made a chance as soon as he came on . Love to see Derry back doing what he does best drive QPR with his heart .
Colin needs to re try Barton and Adel

My season summed up when the creative Barton took a free kick at the end straight to a man Utd player

    He was fully exposed today
And great to see Adel back
Looking forward now to Wed as possibly last time I can watch Adel play in a hoops shirt ... ****ing disgrace what has happened and shame on everyone that believes that is just Adel sulking ... He is a supreme talent and it a shame it been wasted
He is too good for us and we let him slip between our fingers
The boy clearly looked our best player and give him time and he can rip any defence on the world apart
**** all the new names coming to QPR we have a world beater in our team ... Never forgive that twat Barton never his is in it for Joey Barton not QPR and before anyone posts do was Taarabt ... Yes true he was looking to move after getting us up what was ever wrong with that honest approach he has been fair from day one if I stay I stay if I go I go ... Why? Because he had a great season last year ... He stayed and we treated him like **** I ask anyone who would act differently

Yet I get on here he's not good enough for premiership yet someone wants to sign grant holt FFS

Wannock look in the mirror you idiot and see what a balls up it was to sign Barton it was bullshit from day one a rush job with bullshit all over it

Adel looked lively when he came on today because, quite simply, as i've said from the start of the season, he is our best player.

Mackie is just not good enough at this level!...Is he in the team just because he 'puts a shift in!'..No pace, skill or control...oh yeh,no goals!.Sorry to burst the Mackie bubble but hes very, very average..

Adel is selfish, petulant and has delusions of grandeur, but I'd have him in the side every week.

When he came on today there was nothing too flashy (save for one flick), but everytime he got the ball I felt he could do something at least half-creative.

Last year he was awesome because we allowed him his "moments", but this year he hasn't been given any leeway.

Colin would constantly say how you have to take Adel as he is, good bits and bad, and the result? Goals, assists and the league title.

This year, with the undroppable Barton in the picture, Colin obviously thinks he doesn't have to be as forgiving.

I agree with Derry coming in but I don't think we should switch a striker for a midfielder. I think we need to strikers (DJ/HH?). At this stage, Taarabt should be a substitute... but he should definitely be being used on a regular basis and then given a start if things look really good.

Taarabt is a c**t end of. The sooner he f**ks off the better. He gets 20k+ a week to do something we can only dream of. For thanks we get some precious prima donna who strops out of a trouncing at Fulham because he gets subbed and goes home on a bus. Great team player eh? And all this time the fans, who paid to be there, stayed and outsang Fulham even when it went to 6-0. And he's the one being treated like s**t? Seriously? He's a poorly-advised, dim-witted twat with a crap attitude. World-beater? Ask Robbie Savage. Interesting how no Prem teams are in for him no?

And therein lies half the problem, I think. Look at any professional footballer who's seen as a prima Donna these days, and then look over their shoulder. A lot will have a group of advisors, agents and hangers-on who only care about the next signing fee, not the player. I'm not saying that it's the only reason that Adel's been a twat, but it has to be at least part of the reason.

Adel splits opinion like no other and I can obviously see why he pisses people off so much. But I would rather watch him every week than anyone else in our squad!!

hey, if it had been me, I'd have had an afternoon nap, stayed up and gone to sleep after in that case. It's now 4am here, I've not had a nap, and I'm on the way home from work!!

for me it's a paradox - we're a better team without him playing; but play better with him.

He created more in the 20mins than the rest of the team in the previous 70mins. As for Barton, i thought he was disapointing in the 2nd half, but a good first with some nice passess. Let not's push the panic button just yet. Yes points have being hard to come by of late, but we have just played Chelsea, Tottenham, Man City, Man United & Liverpool in a sequence of 7/8 games that has seen us pick up a similar points tally. Could be better, but could be much much worse. As always this Wednesday and the following match at Swansea are both MASSIVE, and 4 or more points will have us all purring again.

It is doing my head in the Taraabt isnt in the team. He was the main reason we went up last season. He showed his class in the last 20 when he came on. Play the guy!! From the start! Play him in Bothroyds position as the floating striker. Bothroyd is ok and is getting some unfair stick but Taraabt is 10 times the player! Its making me sick now him not playing. We played the best football this season against Wolves, Newcastle and at times against Villa and what a suprise Tarrabt was in the team!! It is becoming a joke!!

Agree totally - so pleased that this thread has drawn out how valuable Taraabt is.

Like all talented players, yes he has his downsides, but he was the only creative talent on display yesterday.

In fact, when Bothroyd had a chance to shoot in the first half he chose to pass. He was about 35 yards out and I thought to myself if that was Taraabt, he would have dribbled drawn a defender or two in then unleased a dipping shot towards the right hand corner, as he did so many times last season (think Coventry).

The man can create a chance from nothing - think Portsmouth last season - a howler by the goalkeeper, but who was the man buying the ticket with a 30 yarder? Taraabt. We went on to win that game when it was looking like a bore-draw.

We need him. We should play him. End of.
