Alejandro Faurlin names Adel Taarabt as the best player he's played with at Queens Park Rangers Queens Park Rangers sold Adel Taarabt to Benfica in the summer transfer window. Alejandro Faurlin has told Sky Sports FL72 podcast that Adel Taarabt is the best player he has played with at Queens ParkRangers. Faurlin and Taarabt linked up for six seasons at Loftus Road, with the pair both arriving at the London club in 2009. And the Argentinian midfielder was very impressed by Moroccan international’s talents during their time together at the R’s. "For me, here at QPR, it would be Adel Taarabt," he said, when asked who was the best player he's played alongside. "We had great chemistry, and I really enjoyed playing with him." Taarabt’s ability at QPR was never doubted, but his attitude meant that he never truly fulfilled his promise. Taarabt showed his talent under Neil Warnock, but no other manager was able to get the very best out of the enigmatic midfielder. The 26-year-old has now moved on from QPR, after a series of failed loan moves with the likes of Fulham and AC Milan. Taarabt currently plays for Benfica in Portugal, but he hasn’t made an appearance for them so far and has made minimal impact since arriving in the summer transfer window. Faurlin, meanwhile, is still playing a crucial part for QPR in the centre of their midfield after overcoming his injury struggles. http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2015/12/1...es-adel-taarabt-as-the-best-player-hes-play/?
If only Taarabt had the spirit and endeavour of Faurlin. Perhaps he should of taken him under his wing.
fantastic player Adel, but with a stinking attitude. To mention Stan Bowles as if he had a similar personae is well wide of the mark. Stan never went 5 games without getting a game, never mind 5 seasons
Today Adel scores after 13 seconds..so it says http://www.101greatgoals.com/101ggv...bt-scores-after-13-seconds-in-portugal-video/
mmm, interesting must have been a pretty serious injury that kept him out since he joined Benfica in June. It must be difficult for players desperate to play, but dogged by injury for such long periods of time.
So you must be really pleased to see one of our all time great players winning tackles, shaking off challenges and scoring brilliant goals again then, like me. If we are all really lucky he will stay fit and make watching top European football enjoyable again.
Imo this one-season wonder is certainly not one of my all time greats and nor he will ever make top european football enjoyable. Some people still thinks he could be a european superstar even if he plays 30 st overweight in some sunday pubteam. Well, faith is really blind sometimes.
No I am not pleased at all. In fact very, very sad. Its desperately tragic that a player that has so much skill and ability, that he hasn't graced the higher leagues of Europe for the last 3-4 years, giving pleasure to the football fans of Europe, maybe the world !!!! But a player only gets respect from me, when they show respect, humility and desire to be the best they possibly can.
There are a lot of people on this forum with rose tinted glasses when it comes to Adel. Yes he has some talent but he had one good game for us then five indifferent, he is not up the there in the Marsh and Bowles class. I wish him well but hope he never comes anywhere near LR again, unless playing for the opposition
Sad? I did not miss a much as far as i know. Its true that i didnt saw many match in that "taarabt sseason" 2010-2011 when he was unstoppable big part of the season. However i did saw those matches against derby county when one certain Rob Savage put him in his pocket and prevent him to play with his magic. I was very disapointed because of that but it made me noticed how easily savage made him nervous and got him off his rails. Big part of the season nobody couldnt do what savage did to him but then after that season adel himself became his worst enemy. In the modern football to come a superstar, or even a regular premier league footballer, you have to be a skillful, very fit and more than that a professional by attitude. Sadly adel was only the first part. Thats why he is only regular in the benficas reserves and not in a first team, la liga, serie a, bundesliga or premier league.
You have missed a lot in the season you talk of, before and especially after. Many great games for us in the PL when he played a big role in us staying up our 1st season back under Hughes, and for Milan in Serie A.
I saw a lot of Stanley, he's the best player with Best I have ever seen. Adel was close to Bowles who was fantastic til the late 70's, when his performances fell off a lot. Rose tinted spectacles for Bowles from me.
Many great games in the prem????????? Five great matches is a absolute max in three seasons or so. I saw one of them at LR against Fulham and that was the last one. Adel was great that day and i was thrilled of his performance and even said to my friend that taarabt could keep us in the prem by himself. Well, of course he didnt and only got fatted and eventually lost a bit weight and got a loan move to milan. He realise that he got a chance there and evenplayed few good matches but he never were that good as some of our adel-fans thought. Imo comparing taarabt to bowles is bit thick. Bowles or Marsh are real qpr-heroes and taarabt just a brilliant but lazy one-season wonder.[/QUOTE]
