Ahh yes, the old typo strikes again Looks like l made an 'as sole' of oneself. I think IanMel was alluding to the same effect.
Just be happy that you don't live in my house mate. The slightest error or mistake is leapt on and mercilessly ridiculed. It's a war in here, and my 15 year old daughter is the main aggressor.
Yes, l remember when my girls were at that age. If you say black, they say white ...... So glad that was 15 odd years ago but don't worry, they do come back. The downside is your still up for it for a few more years yet. I often felt my only friend was the mushroom that l shared the dark dingy corner with, that and my good friend Mr Alcohol. Note - This post was written whilst completely sober as the writer only samples beverages once a week.
Adel is now history for us. Thanks for the memories and I wish him well. But I fear he will be an unfulfilled and wasted talent. We (Neil Warnock and QPR) probably got the best available from him in that window of opportunity.
Taarabt has thrown nothing away IMO he still has that talent He's gone but if any QPR can stand there and slag that boy off then you shouldn't follow football ... Let other teams slag him out of jealously but what he did for us was not far short than brilliant I have never seen a player do what he can do . Overweight and unfit at times he could still outplay any player in the UK. Didn't train so what he remains the only QPR player who can walk on any football pitch I actually like the manner he adopts as his life is far more important that football . Most players you watch today are prisoners to the game and they have to more or less give up everything to the cattle market . I know this first hand at the moment as one minute you are a nobody in a five a side team playing along side me ... The next thing you are getting offers for you at 10m quid I defy anyone to say that doesn't change your outlook in a circus that lasts 10 years . You get sold dreams laced with money and then you are a slave Taarabt could eat 10 burgers drink 6 pints and play in a match against the best in the world and during that match he would naturally contribute touches that would match anyone I like him a lot more for doing his own thing because he will be remembered for that . Is doesn't fit with ****s on MOTD which is what exactly? Or the crap that you need to have this English work ethic rubbish ... Get stuck in ! Should be the motto of the English football fan ... Take heavens they are a dying breed
Sorry mate, I don't like his 'way of thinking' about life. He entered into a contract to perform, for a lot of money l might add, and totally bludged on the club He refused point blank to honour his part in the contract, he let his fellow players down, the fans, everybody, yet still stuck out his hand to receive his pay. I don't care how good he is or should l say, was, everybody gave him too many chances and blamed everyone but himself. In my books, he is a bludger and a user, not worthy a of a comeback for us.
Totally spot on !!! Well apart from the last 4 years ???? Its called being a professional sportsman, playing the game you love, and getting paid millions to do it
So it's all about the money? Taarabt owes QPR nothing IMO compared to say Barton or SWP Bowles lived a great life and never conformed saw plenty of games where Stanley was just standing on the pitch Granted things have changed and fans want to see hard work and value I myself like entertainment Zidane remains best I have seen Didn't train much and then football in its place in the biggest game there is Taarabt will divide opinion who cares He is a remarkable player IMO and in a industry full of greed I will always like the rebel. You have people on football paid much more just to talk about the game on TV I am responding to this thread to defend what he gave QPR and not let posters get away with a slagfest Start a list of QPR waste in the last 5 years Taarabt IMO can't appear on that list Name 3 better goals scored by the same player ... You can't
Football is far, far more than the quality of 3 goals scored !! It is all about fighting for your club, when times are tough, tracking back the hard yards to make a tackle. Even gifted skillful players should want to show fight on the pitch to earn even greater respect from their team mates and fans. Goals are for the glory boys, working your socks off for your team mates is a true footballing great. So on my scale Adel, is in a totally different end of the scale to yours. Anyway, I am bored senseless arguing about AT. He is history. Just noticed this JFH quote... "But it's a team game. I want to have a team. I don't want individuals. You need a team and eventually teams win you titles. Individuals win just the game." Music to my ears !!!
The owners should see if they could get the darts team from the local to turn out for the Club then, in return for picking up the tabs from the darts matches. A Couple of rounds before each game would go down well with the team spirit too.
Agreed we are in another new era now and Taarabt is elsewhere Don't be surprised if he pops up in the CL knockout round
I hope this is a last thread about that fat lazy "one season wonder" Yes, he played one good season as everybody knows since then he played handful of decent prem matches during three seasons! Since 2011 he has been nothing but a overweight "proffessional" footballer. Time to move on!
on the football league forum a Derby fan took the bait from a Forest fan with this post ''theres no way you can have a sensible cival conversation with a tricky tree theyve got the mentality of a 3 year old'' He was slaughtered for that contribution
Excellent word that; bludger. I had to look it up and found out that it originally was an 18th C. British slang word for a pimp who stole from his clients customers. So really its Fatty's agent that is the bludger and Fatty is his prostitute.
