This is just what England needed. Responded really well to some difficulties. Procession after procession isn't what you want before a high pressure semi final. Brilliant from England.
All over ! Job done . Best Sri Lanka have played in the tournament but once Buttler did that we were always favourites . Into the Semi's, let's just hope Wood is fit to replace Mills !
Mills's death bowling will be missed I fear, although there are others very skilled in that dept. Wood's pace could help, but may be a bit expensive? Anyway, on we march!!
No more expensive than Mills ! Has taken wickers late on during the tournament but has gone for a good few. Willey is another option if they wanted to stick with the left armer, not as pacey but can swing it sometimes upfront.
Just what England needed, something different rather than just bowling opponents out cheaply and then cruising to victory....... Good to see that they have the players that can recover from 35/3 and 47/3 after 10 overs.......Buttler and Skip are the ideal men for that sort of situation and have the ability to up the scoring rate with ferocious hitting.......... That was in many ways the ideal workout........
Scotland have done fairly well to keep NZ to "only" 172 for 5 from their 20 overs, Guptill scored 93 of those and extras was 3rd top scorer adding another 20....... Still likely to be way too much for Scotland to chase down...........
Decent effort by Scotland but came up 16 runs short...... India going along nicely against Afghanistan 84/0 after 10 overs.......
