Every week be it straight after the match or waiting through the week the negative comments that derive on this board make me want to throw up? I would just like to remind people that we are actually having a good season won 4 drawn 1 =13 points, get behind your team and our players show some positive energy ffs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW, Kudos for Husky and all the boys that made the long trip up to Yorkshire. That's the kind of support that will help our boys do the business this season.
This is a preposterous thread, I honestly thought when I saw the title SWP it would be someone calling for him to be MOTM but no it's more blinkered negative BS. SWP had a great game today was much better than Oneill on the other flank (not that he payed badly either) yet he continues to get stick. This thread is almost as ridiculous as Peter Damage's vile outburst yesterday.
Shaun W-Phillips ‏@swp29 4h Great result 2day! Thanx 2 all the fans 4 the amazing supports
So, when Matt Phillips is fit, would you keep SWP on the right? Given that we know exactly what we will get from SWP every week. Or drop Hoilett so SWP can play on the left?
SWP is bad on the right, he is beyond useless on the left. Philips is a RW so you play him and Hoilett until one of their legs drop off.
Hardest working man on the pitch today was Austin. He was in for every header, flick on, hold up and was tireless. SWP worked hard but lost possession a lot as did barton and if his role is to act as a winger and and get past defenders and get crosses in he failed miserably But this is a team and he has jointly contributed to 4 wins and a draw Personally i expect far more from him than just working hard and possibly matt phillips will deliver that
Phillips has to play his way into the team..... same as every other player.. .till SWP, Hoillet or ONeill has a bad game Phillips cannot walk into the team End of.
I've never seen MP play live, but from the sounds of things he's better than SWP. I'm guessing MP will initially get a few starts from the bench to get him up to fitness, then eventually his quality will show and he'll replace SWP in the side, who will drop the bench himself. It'll be exciting to see MP + Hoillet in the same side! Doesn't change the fact SWP is playing pretty well at the moment though.
I am on a beer diet, today. I am doing just fine! Seriously, a balanced diet is the only one that works.
By the way, Marvin, take the "Redknapp, Johnson and Barton etc out" crap off your signature. Admit your mistake!
Nonsense. Your architect friend done one on smoothies like he did on sausages? I've never looked at a sausage the same way since I watched your video Stan! (That didn't sound right, did it? )
I dislike them, it was never about their ability. Thats not going to change if they are playing well or not.
Question was for Grifter mate, I thought I could guess your answer! My wife has just spotted me on the site - her comment 'So your all basking in the victory' - my response -'no we're deconstructing the players one by one'. Fact is SWP is not, and never has been, a £50 k a week player, we were mugged into buying him when desperate (cheers Colin). But because of the clubs he has played for and the amount we pay him he gets a higher level of scrutiny than, say, Mackie did. Mackie was much better value for money. For today's performance I'll take Husky and Wubba's verdict, they were there. Beth, I don't think you believe that. You wouldn't drop SWP if we had Messi coming back from injury? Or slightly more realistically Taarabt?
I think you have to give him a couple of sub apps and then start him. I hated it when Hughes dropped people who just scored or did well so even I wouldnt drop SWP as soon as Philips is fit.
