Nonsense. The lad had a cracking opening game v Newkie where he showed everyone what he was capable of but since then he's gone backwards. Don't forget this guy was at City and Chelsea so was considered one of the best players in the league in his position.

I think SWP is doing alright. I said it on a different thread but I think it all depends on the various expectations of him. The guy hasn't played regular first team football for years so it was a bit much to expect him to be the player he once was. He's come very close to scoring a few times (hitting the post at Wolves, disallowed goal against WBA), had these gone in some of these half-term reports would be a little more positive.

I think there is more to come from him and as DT says he puts in a shift every game. I'll judge him at the end of the season.

    Dave....have a word!!
Gabbidon has been very good. Dyer and Campbell have been injured and Ferdy has been excellent until his off-field troubles!

Meant to point out to knobjockey that SWP is clearly not the worse let down and you should know I am hyper positive about the team ... I do have trouble with Barton but the door is always open for him as well
SWP looks like a QPR player already IMO

Well he hasn't set the league alight has he ... Don't get me wrong he is a great player but who wouldn't feel let down ? Most on here have rubbished him because of events he has been a total let down to himself and us fans but that don't stop knowing he is a genius with a football

They're all crap! Out hopes rest on Bolton, Blackburn and Wigan being more crap than us! If you're enjoying this season, you need electric shock treatment!

Warnock has a role to play here. We have any number of players who are having a real Jeckyll and Hyde season and as a team we are see-sawing between brilliant and hopeless. Let's not forget that the top drawer performance against City was not that long ago and we were generally solid in away games until very recently. NW needs to make sure the team shows up for every game and not just the ones they fancy. I can't help feeling that the attitude of Barton is central to all this.
