Totally agree on Cork. Ran the show at the back end of last season. Put in some of the best CM performances I'd seen in years. Really impressed.
These are lower league teams we are playing and not very good league teams at that and it's giving us a false indication of how good we are.....come the Burnley game We will see just how good we really are playing a relegation contender. I think we will come crashing down to earth with a huge bump and then we will come to terms with what Jenkins actions have really done......
I agree they will be up for it Taff (or should be) but Burnley probably will be a difficult place to go all season. If we can get control of the ball in midfield we should get at least a point.
My thought on promoted teams is that the worst time to play them is the first game of the season. It gets progressively easier from that point onwards because they start realising what they're up against and start losing a few matches. The first game of the season they're buzzing and fearless off the back of a fantastic promotion the year before. If we come away with 3 points from Burnley, we'll have done very, very well to get them.
Will be interested to see for myself how we are performing on Saturday. I hope I get the chance to see Van de Horn, Adam King , Mcburnie and Connor Roberts as they must be close to stepping up, not all at once of course. Fulton and Kingsley have already made that step and must now push hard to start also Barrow must be a starter this season. So not depressed at all.
Can somebody post the highlights if and when they come up? That's a great result, and it looks like we are clicking pre-season which is very unusual for us. Barrow looks to be a star this coming season. I really hope the Manager agrees. Routledge looking hot too.
Whilst the goals were well taken, Wolves had a number of very good chances, they got around our defence very easily at times, they couldn't hit a barn door from two yards. If that were a PL team then we would have lost.
