The end of an up and down season. We have the slightly disappointing home form, the better away form, and the great cup runs.

We now end up away at Swindon, a team we haven't really got on well with results wise. It's the end of the season and neither team gas anything to play for so it's more than likely gong to end up with a mixture of contracted players, more junior players and the odd loanee we still might need for cover.

    The squad will possibly be
    Leutwiler
    Grimmer Smith NKP Sadler
    Whalley Ogogo Wesolowski JLAA
    Clark
    Mangan
With Jones and a couple of junior players alongside him.

Come on Salop give everyone a boost and get a decent away win. Let's hope we haven't got a dodgy ref or lino decision to go against us!

Another lifeless performance to end a miserable season. Whats all this nonsense about players coming to the fans to apologise - call me old school but I think that is a cop out. Anyway we desperately need to restructure our defence and put more steel into the midfield. Its going to test the wheeler-dealer capability of MM to the limit in the close season. Would like to see Grimmer come in permanently - don't think he is quite of Championship quality but would be great for us as a wing back. Whitbread had not done enough for me to be offered a long-term deal and perhaps we could get Hendry on a season - long loan. Only if we stop giving crazy goals away will we able to consolidate in this league though the problem is the club has too many players contracted for next season who don't look up to League 1 standard.
