Well I am a season ticket holder and would say that at home this season a fair result for about 6 wins would have been a draw. Barnsley's centre forward looked a real threat all game which is something Agard and Wilbs never do. Yes we are a good team who have had the luck this season which we have never had for years. We do struggle against the better teams though viz MK Dons Sheff United Preston and Barnsley. Even Gillingham gave us a game. Still we are top and you cant argue with that
Struggled against Mk Dons? We took 4 points off of them. We beat Sheffield United once, battered Preston at home and Gillingham gave us a game? You're acting like Barnsley are Barcelona, they had two shots at our goal the whole game. We defended poorly, especially the first goal. WTF was Bryan doing? And Wilbs never looks a threat? He has 14 goals after being injured for a long period..
We went 2-0 up against MK Dons and then the played us off the park and we were lucky to win. We should have been 3-0 up against Preston but once they scored we never looked like scoring. I can argue that we are top but from my perspective we would have been 20 points clear if only we had a decent strike force. Much of course depends on what a strike force consists of Wilbs holds they ball up and progresses the attack but seldom does anything spectacular himself. Agard has always been the weak link
It would be particularly satisfying for all concerned if we gave Swindle a good hiding in our forthcoming match. That would complete a perfect season for me
'It would be particularly satisfying for all concerned if we gave Swindle a good hiding in our forthcoming match. That would complete a perfect season for me' Amen to that Rickster.
Flint and his yellow card stats mat have cost us with the second goal on Saturday , he should have nailed the player for a yellow to eliminate the danger.
Normal highlights show absolutely nothing other than if there were doubts that becaused you sneezed blinked or simply took your eye off the game for 2 seconds that moment in time you missed or indeed a different view from where you sat.... ROD when you look back over the past couple of seasons there were a number of occasions when we had an injury / injuries and it coincided with a particularly awkward run of fixtures..or when about to play a team that seemed to be cert draw or win they suddenly hit form and after beating us went on a run of a few games or we had a loss of form that lasted a few more games than you would hope... weve had 2 short spells this season and lost 5 games in them and that is a major improvement..injuries we have been lucky very few and our fixture spread has been good, Hats off to SC his nerve has held, as has the teams, we are top of the league whoooooooooppeeeeeeeeeeee just need to complete the job.. maybe easter will bring us all ours in the 1 basket! So far only 1 team has stopped us taking a minimum of 3 pts from them..... Barnsley, 4 of the last 7 can join them!
Apparently, so I have been told, if the MK lose and we beat Swindon we are up. Is that true JGF? I can't be bothered with the maths! If so then that would be the icing on the cake - and a perfect response to their cheating antics at the County Ground earlier this season.
Doesn't seem right to me? Mk Lose with 72 points on 40 games, 18points to play for, we would be on 85 points after beating swindon.
No because we would be on 88 points MKD on 72 with 18 to play for = 90 Swindle 70 with 21 to play for = 91 So a draw against PNE would virtually get promotion, whilst a win would guarantee it. How did I do JGF, sorry if I didn't faction in the wind speed v the velocity of the earths electrical current But if anything I'm better than Banksy who started on 85 points added 3 and still got 85
Thanks for clearing this up chaps. My son told me lies after watching the League Show. Just as well I suppose - with all the Swindon fans around during our pitch invasion there might have been a few handbags....
Doubt there will be much pitch invasions this season, if you're in the Dolman you will need to get through an assault course to get to pitch side.
