Pitman scores. Weak goalkeeping from Cornell as he let's a goal in through the smallest gap on the near post
Yeah!!!! We won a game of football, scored a couple of goals and missed a bunch of chances. It wasn't a great game but we were competitive and created opportunities to score. Players showed some effort and we won more second balls than I've seen for a while. We're still a long way being a decent team but at least there was some semblance of football being played today.
Well, well, a win is a win, is a win. I was out for the afternoon, and so we actually score 2 goals, might have been 3 or 4 by the sound of it. I look forward to your summaries, but believe that this sounds like a better curtain down at end of the season, tho of course all too late. I hope the camp is more confident and happy tonight. It gives PC yet another good look at several players who havent started much. Morale all round a shade higher, and this will give the new owners more faith too & confidence that they dished a sh....t load of cash for a club worth backing.
We're such a different team with Norwood in it. But this is how low we've got that we have to rely on a player like him. He's a decent striker who could probably hack it in the Championship but he's not going to set the world on fire
I think its becoming clearer who's not going to be here next season apart from the loanees, Jackson, Nolan, Drinan, and Skuse for starters, Ward and Chambers maybe or could do a job as replacement defenders, any thoughts ?
Agree with that. I think Ward will probably go along Sears. Can also see one of Holy or Cornell going and PC bringing in another number one keeper with one of the remaining two staying as backup. I can see Chambers being given a one-year contract even though he brings very little. If he is a disruption in the changing room, like some say, then get rid. Nolan is on long term sick, which in my opinion is, he's been placed on garden leave and won't be seen again in an ITFC shirt I thought Norwood's post-match interview was quite interesting. He seems to buy into PC's philosophy and is basically echoing what PC has been saying since he arrived. If he can stay fit and get good service from the wide men then he will do well next season. He needs to stop wearing his hair in a bun though,
Turns out Nolan was injured when Cook came in. He’s got five goals in 17 appearances this season. He hasn’t set the world alight and he’s not that flair creative player we so badly need in there but I’ve always thought he was pretty solid. Depending how other transfer business works out this summer I’d keep him and Downes ahead of Bishop and Dozzell and Skuse.
