Charge their fans £50 when they play at the Mem :emoticon-0130-devil

And with the extra revenue raised lay on free buses to a long away trip later in the season

In all fairness their fans are equally angry at the arrangements, why punish them ?

Stay away is the best way, which will send a message to ALL clubs to "Never forget your fans", without whom there's no club !!

While this is funny, I have to agree with EGLL Gas as their non season ticket fans have to pay full whack like our fans!

Leroy Rosenior talks about this fiasco....

As someone who has made and currently continues to make a living from football, encouraging any supporter to boycott any match is something that does not come easy for me.

Yet I somehow find myself feeling that Bristol Rovers supporters would be more than justified in any decision to make a stand against Swindon Town's decision to charge them full price to return for a rearranged fixture after the initial game between the two sides was abandoned.

If that wasn't bad enough, a further announcement this week explained that some Rovers supporters would have to pay £6 more than they had originally as a result of Swindon's decision to only use a small covered (more expensive) area of the ground to house away fans.

Instead of Swindon Town chairman Lee Power trying to generate some good will, this decision suggests he is only interested in generating money and it is all wrong.

Maybe this is an opportunity for Rovers fans to stand up for supporters in general because in my opinion this is just being seen as an opportunity to make money at the expense of the ordinary supporter. I find the whole thing callous.

Of course, this sort of episode could probably be avoided if there were clear rules across the board over the pricing of re-arranged games rather than the wishy-washy leave it at the club's discretion that the Football League have in place at the moment.

It was commendable that Rovers tried to soften the blow by offering free coach travel to those who want to return to the fixture but I wouldn't blame supporters if they didn't want to go back.

It was good to hear that a group of Swindon supporters made their feeling on the matter clear as well, because if fans are to form an effective opposition they need to put on-field rivalries to one side and act as one body.

I found it quite refreshing that Darrell Clarke was quick to label Swindon's actions as 'disgraceful' and was surprised to say the least when the County ground boss Luke Williams had said he had been "saddened" by the remarks.
