Based on the poo pot performance yesterday that was Liverpool helping villa stay in the premiership, I for one want us to field a very different team next weekend in the FA Cup.

A couple of reasons;
-It looks like some players need a rest badly, coutinho is looking jaded, and to me hendo looks like he could do with a breather (the lad has played pretty much every minute this season!).
-secondly with our poor injury record, every time suarez goes down under a challenge I feel an artery clog! I want him to be rested at every opportunity - even though that is certainly not what he would want.
-And lastly, I want to see some of youngsters play and see if they can step up... it may mean we will win sweet F*ck All, but i wouldn't complain. Arsenal have been doing it for years and look where their kids have got them...

I suppose this thread could be boiled down to the age old argument of what is more important to fans/clubs, a cup or the league position?

But my real question is what youngsters/fringe players (if we have any left) would you like to see play next Saturday??

Rather than mix 1st team and reserves, why not just play our best reserves/1st team squad who never get a game and rest our first 11.

Would be a hell of a game and a chance for some of the kids to be blooded. It won't happen of course.

Bournemouth are a decent team and shouldn't be underestimated. We need to take the cup seriously and play our best team. They're professional sportsman, playing once a week should be a breeze. It's not like we're in Europe and have to rotate for that.

I say go all out and try and win the cup <ok>

Wish it would though. I havent had a chance to see many of our yoots play, I wander if they are any good...

You sound like I did last year when we played Stags <laugh>

1. win the game.

2. rest the players.

arsenal... 8 years and couting with EVERYONE expecting them to blow up in february... kids? f'n kids... they bought their entire team bar whilshire. CB, sgana, carzolra, ozil, giroud... yeah resting and playing kids to lose in cups has REALLY benefitted them

I agree on certain guys needing rests... no question.

Sure kelly should tart. we need that.

sure ibe should turn up.. yes rossiter should too.

Yes we should milk moses for a bit.

yes alberto should start and look woeful and come off... no question.

win the game!
