When an 8 man defensive line let their opponents have so many shots on goal (think the Italians had almost 40 shots at goal) I would argue that nobody was actually "leading" the team defensively, something the Swedes proved by showing the lack of organization from dead balls.

Not to mnetion the amount of times, especially against the Italians, our defensive were beaten by a simply ball over the top.

I think Terry had a good tournament but not as good as Gerrard.
