I'll hold my hands up and say I'm guilty of that. Maybe I dont believe in a swear filter, but instead believe in free speech and "down with censorship" of any language <whistle>

Or it could just be to impose it on others and use it for full effect

might just be me but i really don't understand why you/posters do it since nothing stops you from swearing on this site (as shown by the liberal use of **** on this board) but why insist people who don't want to read it have to.Surely the only result is to deliberately offend people and if so why ?

I know i'm on a loser with this one as anyone who watches football is used to "industrial" language * i think it is just the effort people go to to ensure people who don't want to read it have to that grates

    * Actually anyone who leaves their house these days is used to hearing "industrial" language

    You're not on a loser as I won't do it again <ok>

I hadnt really thought about it. But it's second nature, what I posted earlier is pretty much why I did it. It wasnt to cause offence but merely to add effect/emphasis to the post and every reader reading it (as swearing in context often does that).

  4. For the record, the swear filter is permanently on when using the app. There is no option for turning it off
