Just did a little stat comparison exercise of his '****' performances with Duncan Watmore's, interesting.

Lets swap Ellis Short for the shareholders that make up the 100% ownership of Man Utd and yeah, that includes the Glaziers..

Might actually get somewhere then with people who are actually interested..<ok>

Not sure how interested they are in the sport itself mate but I can't fault their business nous.

Compared favourably for take ons, lost tackles, key passes with all of your midfielders. Stats are stats though, another player could have attempted 5 times as many tackles which shows why they'd lost more.

His deficiencies seem to lay with his pass completion and defensive duties, which doesn't surprise me given both the fact that you've chopped and changed players all season so there's been no proper link up play in attack until maybe Vic come in, and also because he goes for the spectacular pass when it's not on quite often.

I'm not a big fan of stats for judging a player mind, just thought it'd be worth a look.

there are plenty out there, who would have thought Vic would have been the success he was, looks like the lads were right, and we have been crying out for a guy like him . well done MOYES or Gollum to his close associates

Without a doubt I'd rather have Januzaj on the ball in the final third rather than Watmore. But in the other 2 thirds Watmore gives us a lot more and we need it.

That's the sort of thing you don't really see looking at stats, which is why I don't like forming opinions using stats. Chasing the ball down and showing maximum effort off the ball is not something I'd associate with Adnan. He's the sort of player who needs the DM to slip in and do his graft for him, he just doesn't seem to understand the importance of being switched on for a full 90 mins. M'Vila would have done that for him, he was doing it all last season, the Gareth Barry role.

He got away with it more at United, as we had much better full backs and cover in midfield for him.
