Marko you are not in the premier league, there is every possibility you won't go up next season either, it's not being arrogant it's facing facts instead of being deluded, the swans are there the same as Norwich , we are both better than your club, take a look at the finishing positions of the championship last season, it clearly shows that the team's that accumulated the most points and finished top 3 went up, and it shows that your club failed to reach the top six as you were not good enough, if you think that is being arrogant, you are more deluded than I thought !
What's arrogant is you think you've got more chance of staying up than we have of going up. Among a load of other things. The £90 million payout doesn't go as far as you think when you consider a number of facts: - Wages in the Premier League need to be significantly higher if you stand any chance of staying up - Only £50 million of it is paid to you in this coming season, over the course of the season. It's not in a big lump sum. Of course, money loans are an option since you are guaranteed to be able to afford to pay it back in the short term. This would be the option you'd have to opt for as a club that takes pride in always paying fees up front - The other £40 million (or £48 million) is paid to you over 4 seasons after getting relegated. Of course, it's another £50 mill over one season if you manage to stay up. You've already spent a fair amount in fees, and I'd imagine those players will be commanding at least £20k a week, so there's a big chunk already set aside. If you want any of our players that you've been linked with, it'll cost you £5 million at the least for Gradel or Becchio. More for Becchio, since he's tied down with 3 years left on his contract. We don't want to sell so the figure is likely to go higher than that. These players will be on reasonably high wages as it is. As far as I'm aware Becchio is on £11k a week, or I'd assume so with all the figures flying around about our "best players" being on "around that". I can imagine it'd be more since he recently resigned for us. Add on top of that that they are already happy here, you'd have to offer a significant wage increase (I'm thinking at least 50% extra on top of what they are already on) to gain their interest. With all the money flying out of your coffers for your first team players who will be demanding high wages, you simply cannot afford to be spending high transfer fees and those wages on squad players. So no, you won't get these players if you really want them because you can't afford them for the place they would take up in your "team of already better players". Doesn't matter how much your club wants them, your club can't afford them. End of debate, so stop being an arrogant prick and going on about how good it is being in the Premier League, because you are still small time by comparison to the other clubs there. Long story short, even with the massive payout for getting promoted, you still can't afford our best players
Things have changed a lot since the mid 90s thanks to TV money really taking effect and the general inflation which has made the Premiership a far harder place to establish oneself in. Look at the teams who have got promoted in recent years; the large majority have not stayed up off the back of buying English lower league players, they've succeeded by buying from other Premiership teams and top-division foreign sides. West Brom (were relegated but didn't affect the fact they've now been able to establish themselves with the same players) and Stoke being good examples. Well yes, if we do go up with this squad we've got and fail to buy some decent top-division players, I think Leeds will be screwed. As for QPR, I guess we'll have to see how the transfer window pans out. If Norwich and Swansea just buy lower-leaguers though, I don't think their stay in the Premiership will be lengthy at all. Don't think anyone's in a position to know how strong Leeds' squad will be next season so let's not be jumping to conclusions. I've not said Swansea and Norwich are damned, only that they need to be more ambitious throughout the rest of the window. Leeds obviously need some ambitious moves too, otherwise it'll be another year of falling short of the mark for us.
We don't spend high transfer fees, and that is why we won't be in for him, the sun like the mirror are tomorrow's toilet paper , and I realise the £90m is over 4 years should we get relegated, but as I said if we were serious about this I doubt that our chairman would jet off to Spain at this time! I can't believe how much credence you lot put into garbage printed in the gutter press
We don't, we just want cretins like you to **** off off our board and stop trying to wind people up with bollocks and yammering on about how much better you think you are than Leeds. Doesn't matter how short sighted you go, you could go right down to the game at the Liberty and say "we're better than you because we beat you last time we played" and it still wouldn't be true. There's so many other factors than current league position that define how great a club is. You're just the next Blackpool, exciting until the novelty wears off.
How can you say that Marko? You monster. They play great football, for God's sake. They made more passes than anyone else, which means they must be an exciting team to watch. *Barcelona comparison*. Oh, and Brendan Rodgers knew Mourinho. Let's not forget they're Welsh too, so any slur against them has xenophobic overtones. They're so lovable and not-Blackpool-like. *Another Barcelona comparison because the last one was at least 10 seconds ago*.
They are going to play a less classy version of Arsenals football in a league where Arsenal can't win the league or any trophies because they can't fight and see games out, especially away from home. Sounds like they're doomed to me.
By rights they should really be lining up in the Principality of Wales Premier League against the likes of Airbus UK,a club of similar stature to themselves.
and what rights are those then? by rights you shouldn't exist because the dodgy dealing of captain birdseye, if you were ever in the position to get to the premier league you face an investigation from them before they allow your club in! And **** a duck, we do play far better football than you, I know because we are in the premier league and you are not, plus the fact that we dominated you utterly at the liberty, oh plus the league positions we landed up in last season, you are living in the past, which will mean that ultimately next season will end in failure yet again!
On current teams, next season for Swansea will end in failure as well. Relegation, and then after that you'll drop down to midtable for the next 5 years. You've wasted £3.5million on Graham, a player who's had ONE great season at Championship level. If that's the kind of signing you make, then you won't stay up. Simple. Blackpool didn't have Premier League quality, bar Charlie Adam, which is why they went down. They went down in a spirited way, but they still ended up relegated. To stay up, realistically, you need to sign 4+ proven Prem players, with 6 or so being able to make the step up. Seeing as Darren Pratley has left, you've only really got Sinclair and Dyer who would be capable of making the step up. You have easily the weakest squad in the league. You'll finish in the bottom 3, unless you make some good signings. It's the same with Leeds. If you judge us on our current squad, then yes our season will end in failure. But if we bring in some quality players then we can get promoted. There's no point making predictions about things now.
I never said anything about comparing Leeds' and Swansea's football. Though I do think our passing is better because it helped us create more goals. You were a better team in terms of pressing and defending though and that's what wins promotions. Living in the past? Boring, tedious and unfounded insult. Some evidence for that please... it's you mentioning the past with your victory at the Liberty (conveniently forgetting how we crushed you at Elland Road). Not sure where the causal link is between that and next season ending in failure, we don't even know what our squad will look like yet, and how football players can 'live in the past' is beyond me, it's a physical impossibility. And it's been at least 20 minutes since you offered us Pintado for £7m, you're not a very good agent are you?
Saying we have only got sinclair and dyer is laughable, we also got williams, rangel , dobbie, bodde (if fit?) and allen who will make the step up imo, also having over rated premier league cast offs on huge wages who are looking for another pay day , is not the way we will do things, if we go down so be it, but we will compete as you will see, and lets face it you are a selling club, if the offer comes in you will sell, as been proven with kasper.
Except for the fact that we aren't a selling club. Why do all these nobody clubs still think Schmeichel was one of our best players? Apart from the glamour saves on TV, he's got practically **** all. We sold him because he sucks the big one, not because we're a selling club. This idea that Leeds are a selling club is unfounded and total rubbish and will result in nothing clubs like you making mediocre offers for our players and getting laughed at like Norwich already did. For the last time, Kasper Schmeichel was surprisingly average, and was not worth the wage he was on. A decent offer came in for an average keeper and we sold him. Piss off back to your own forum where you can masturbate over the premier league and noone will bat an eyelid. Enjoy it while it's lasts.
======================================================== swansea tend to have 1 season in the top league out of every 40 or so years, make the best of it ya Muppet as for the next 40 years the only reason people will mention you is with regards sheep worrying.
Should have took the 16s lads - Leeds are 8-1 to go down now. Will be odds on by October Billy Paynter to be Championship top scorer is 500-1
Actually he's 50-1 according to skybet and we're 16-1 or 18-1 to win the title on most places. 11/2 to go up.
Had a couple of quid on billy have you m8,lets face it don't blame you,no one at millwall looks good for double figures. suggest you sign Avram at least he can score in a brothel, which is more than your strike force can.
Why the personal insults? can't you offer arguments to counter my points without the need for telling me to piss off, and stuff about masturbating , I know you got master bates at your club, but I don't go into all that , will leave that to you and him! And the muppets are great, I like the monster playing the drums, have no idea why that has come into the conversation, I am sure I ain't mentioned it
Because the only reason you're on this board is to gloat about your pretty hollow victory over a club that doesn't even care about you. Congrats, you are in the Premier League. No, you can't have any of our players, because you can't afford them. I already gave you plenty of arguments to explain why you're still small time but you just ignore it and say "doesn't count, premier league" like a child. You are what is known on a forum as a "troll", and they aren't really appreciated.
