My confidence in the manager has taken a major dent tonight. Absolutely no clue how to put the game to bed even against such poor opposition and in such a dire situation for them. And why is our team only able to play well for 10 or 15 minutes at a time? Depressed after an away win and back in the playoff places... a whole new QPR experience.
Respect… but that’s a harsh analysis

That was horrible.
But 3 points is 3 points...and the points keep us heading away from the relegation zone ( always my first target).

Btw...it's written into the QPR playbook...we are not allowed to play well against 10 men...It's the law

Hello Beth,

I would not use the horrible, as it was an away win. I would love many such horrible matches with three points (for example last Saturday against Millwall).

But in the 2nd half, while leading 0-1 and against 10 men, we failed to impose ourselves on the match. Indeed we were lucky not to concede in the last 10 minutes. I guess you are referring to this nail biting finale.

However, we missed some great chances to put the game to bed, but we got away with it.

3 points away at Swansea is a great result, which was made more difficult than necessary.

Really? Controlled the match aka Pep, created amazing chances, 1 of those goes in, game done 3pts in the bag JS beautifully managed game. Not his fault Chair and Varane missed absolute sitters

Another three points, another clean sheet, on the edge of play-off position, what's not to like? We seem to have a resilience to bounce back after a disappointment which augers well for the rest of the season. We're also above all three relegated teams which doesn't happen very often (up yours Marti). I'm sure if you had offered us this position after a quarter of the season we'd have happily snapped your hand off, well done JS...<applause>

Slightly OTT? Hardly the first time a side has found it harder to play against 10 men than 11. And is it really Julien's fault that our players missed a number of very very good chances?

Nicolas Madsen tonight ...

- 91% passing accuracy
- 2 chances created
- 0.62 xG/A
- 13 passes into the final 1/3
- 3 tackles
- 3 clearances
- 10 recoveries
- 3/3 ground duels won

I know the chances of us collectively learning a lesson from this one is about 0%, but there is a lesson in Madsen's turnaround for us all. Players need our support and patience while they adapt to a new league - and we need to give them time to do that.

100%
I think we played well against the 10 men for a long while but I felt the player discipline slipped for the last 15 or so. All we had to do was stay in shape and then, when we get the ball, just make them chase shadows.

But, like you say, finishing could also have been better. Their keeper also made 1 or 2 decent saves.

Every season or two there is a player that fans just decide is the cause of everything bad, no matter what they do. I call it the Karl Henry effect.

I remember watching Karl Henry give MOTM performances and still receiving so much **** all game.
