No but lots of niggly clever fouls. They’ve done quite well. Roberts must have fouled four or five times no punishment. And they ducked yellow cards in the first half too.

    Smart fouling.

Our left hand side has really struggled. Sorensen wasn’t such a good idea.

Ironically 3 points for Swansea will be a gut punch for the chasing pack

Yes, and perhaps Brentford would have been happier with us winning so that the two of us could pull away.

Assuming this is just our bad run, it's looking like a three horse race.

Has Aarons ever scored stepping in and shooting on his left peg? I must have seen him sky it a dozen times from there.

    Funny.

Im sure you'll have the 'top after 27 games trophy' pride of place in your living room. It shouldn't need saying, but we've achieved nothing this season.

At least Buendia is back next game. We look lost from creatively without him.

The thing is, people can wet the bed, but we have just lost due to one screamer and a rare goalkeeping howler.

    We shrug and move on.

For any stattos, infogol says the xG today was 0.74v0.75 in norwich’s favour

Underlines what we’ve known most of the season - our finishing has been really poor.

Arguably with the exception of Swansea & Brentford we've achieved more than any other team so far, but you're right there's still a long way to go. Swansea are clearly going to be a strong challenger. We beat them at our place they beat us tonight. Intrestingly prior to tonight's game the form over the last 5 games, was the same. Our season will not be decided on these games. When all the fixtures are played we'll know, but I'm more than happy with our current position at this stage.

Despite the result I thought Hanley had a great game tonight. Cantwell showed yet again why no PL teams made a bid for him in the summer.

If Swansea and Brentford win their games in hand we drop down to third.

I think Pukki needs a rest, give Idah a chance next game. Buendia will come back in for PP thankfully.

I don’t understand all the Cantwell hate. Alongside McLean he was everywhere tonight trying to get things moving, collecting the ball deep and driving forward.

Agree with that. Cantwell flattered to deceive. Placheta frustrated with a lack of final ball. Sorensen really struggled without McClean helping cover him. Aarons looked nice on the ball, but was ineffectual. Pukki moved well but his shooting just is not there.

McClean was busy but I thought he looked slightly out of sorts with a heavier touch than usual.

I usually like the look of Rupp on the ball, but too many times tonight I couldn’t quite work out what he was doing as he seemed out of position.

Encouraging things: I thought Idah looked a handful (if... story of the night... lacking composure in front of goal). Vrancic looked so much better coming off the bench.

I also thought Hernandez made a couple of good decisions like passing to Pukki in a better place when normally Hernandez might have taken a shot at goal (funnily here it would have been better if he had).
