You are entitled to that opinion but you wont see me giving a **** what any Swansea fans think about Liverpool. I gave my honest opinion of the game and if you don't like it then I don't really care.

  2. it got silly immediately after the commentators said it was Jonjo who gifted them a goal. The media like the idea of making it the Jonjo Shelvey show; involved in all four goals when facing the club he left just three months ago. Makes for a good story doesn't it?

    It was also a fact....

Moses took that goal brilliantly & Sturridge's decoy run was top draw, but it doesn't alter the fact that the chance to score was gifted to you, by Shelvey's awful ball in a dangerous area, as opposed to you creating the chance yourselves.

  5. First one yes, it was a gift. But the second one was fifty yards from goal with at least four defenders and a keeper to beat. Studge's run made the space for Moses, he didn't just run towards goal and shoot. It was a mistake by Shelvey but it was far from a gifted goal. Next you'll be claiming the goal keeper gifted the opposition a goal because his goal kick went to the opposition despite them having to beat all eleven players <doh>

both goals for us were gifts but both swansea goals were gifts too. bad bad defending for his one and the second was down to gerrard letting shevley have that run and never bothering to track or get in a good position. watch the replay and watch gerrard standing.

what was LFC's undoing was tactics. Michu was deep. our midfieldw as over run and we put aspas up with sturridge who was half fit. we went 4-4-2. our midfield duo were overwhelmed and henderson was trying to play right side and centre mdifeld at once.

The right thing to go do was to go 4-5-1 and get possession again and push the swans left side back off wisdom.

If the boss wanted toure on to talk he should have rejigged and pushed sahko into DM if that was his choice and left wisdom on with toure beside him and skertl at LCB....

either that or bite the bullet and haul the again anonymous aspas off. we needed to shore up and pass it hen go after swansea not soak up pressure.

we went 4-4-2 with henderson right and moses left and just surrendered the initiative and dropped deeper and deeper until all we were doing was hoofing.

Read it again, I said the chance was gifted to you - not the goal.

Unless you think that being handed the ball on the half way line with the opposition pushed up, so you can get a straight run at the heart of their defence, isn't a 'chance'?

Every goal scored on the counter attack is a "gift" then <doh>

Most 'counter attacks' (by definition) don't start in the opposition's half brains

This is a non argument guys - every chance created is the result of a mistake.

Either from giving the ball away or from poor defending.

Show me a goal, I'll show you a mistake.

Christ, we could dissect pretty much every goal scored each match and end up with it being a gift, defenders not reading the situation: gift, missed tackle, gift, bad tackle resulting in penalty or free kick? Gift, allowing the other team to put a couple of passes together on the way to scoring? Gift

I have issues with the way we've performed over 90 minutes in every game but so far, (please note the so far ...) we are doing what we previously failed to do so often: getting the majority of points in spite of overall performance.

Other fans can concentrate on the negatives in our play and how "great" they played.....because that's what we were doing last year....when we were dropping 2 points and 3 points everywhere...."we don't understand, we played better than you, you were lucky we made mistakes....."

It's just not funny when its the other way round is it?

What you should be worried about is if we figure out how to do both.

    Not so.

Sometimes a side just creates a half chance that's finished with a piece of sublime skill that even Hansen couldn't dissect & find some "appalling defending"

Should a team that believe they have a devine right to a top 4 place lose to a team that did not beat Swansea. Now no froth comments a simple YES or NO will suffice.

There was a spell in that first half, when I was watching you & thinking "Christ, these are as good as anything I've seen this season", which was a genuine worry, I have to admit.

But, you gave me some reassurance with a tepid 2nd half display <laugh>

MSG is correct. If a goal is cored then either the goalie, or the defenders have made a mistake irrespective of the skill employed.

Bollocks. Not every goal comes from a mistake, sometimes attacking skill wins over the defensive cover, without a specific individual or team mistake having been made, there is no debate, it's a simple fact.
