We just about deserved the victory overall but it took a linesman's wrong decision for us to do it.....I thought laudrups line up was wrong from the start and should have started with Moore......Im glad we managed to hold on for the win but wigan were the better team in the second half and were robbed of a perfect equalizer by a bad decision.....We will get slaughtered if we play like that against our next 3 opponents...
Must admit I like the idea of Michu leading the line up front! seemed to work really well yesterday, and gives us another option, no doubt in my mind that technically Michu is streets ahead of Graham at the moment. What Graham needs, is to work on is his first touch, and his technical ability on and of the ball, he's a blunt instrument that needs sharpening, far too ponderous in and around the box at this level, and easily closed down by opposition defenders. he's got to up his game to give himself that extra second of an edge, then he'll be fine!..................
I don't feel llike we were robbed by the linesman I feel like the better team won on the day. I can understand Bobby deciding that he's going to play for a point away from home, particularly against a team like Swansea who can attack with real panache - but why field that side and then play for a nil nil? It seemed inevitable that you would score, the second goal was a killer though. After that we showed - only a little mind - that the team that was selected on Saturday was one more suited to going forward. Anyway, good luck for the rest of the season.
HP ...very gracious of you but i have looked at the disallowed goal a dozen times and still say that he was level with our player and scored a good goal......But at the end of the day the decision goes with you and we all get them at some point....We needed that win to stop the rot but we will have to play better if we are going to get anything in our next 3 games, that's for sure...
The camera angle they showed on MOTD was not directly in line but on the extended highlights on the Sky football first prog they did manage to get it spot on and proved that the Wigan players body was just ahead of our defender so he was marginally off.
