And I doubt we'll see any points on the board this week, most of our players couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo, sure hope Michu is close to coming back, and as for Routledge and Dyer what's their problem? shoulders down before they get on the pitch?.......
We're not struggling because of the europeon games in as much if we hadn't been so naive and not seeing two games out we would quite likely be through now and with chance of resting key players, where as now due to injuries it's hands to the pump becauuse of being 2- 3 players short in the overall squad. I wouldn't have swopped what the club have acheived in this last 10 years ,especially the Europeon adventure as it's unlikely to come around again for awhile. We've been down far longer than being up so all this has been a bonus on a fantastic journey,it's just a pity that some can't see it for themselves
The chance of playing in Europe doesn't come around too often for a club like Swansea - it means winning one of the cups and that in itself is a tough ask. IMO we need to keep going in the Europa as long as possible as we are still plenty good enough to stay in the Premier League as well.
I really hope to get something but both the toon and Hull are better than us and we were better than the majority of the same caliber as them clubs a year ago.. We have the players but we don't have the right manager and I don't think especially the long term players are happy with the way they are being asked to play ..
Hull are better than us They are capable of getting a result but only a red tit would make such a ludicrous statement. Even Hull fans wouldn't believe that. What a supporter you are Dai.
So then Dai, if Hull and the Toon are both better than us, which you can say the table agree's with, then why is it you fail to realise there are 7 teams worse than us, and yet we see your belly aching on here after every defeat, that ML is taking us down blah blah blah, but you stay quiet after a win, well pointless you answering, because a) you never do, and b) we all know the truth about you.
I totally agree that we should try and go as far as we can but not at the expense of any premiership game as that is silly...We knew we were playing man city a few days later and we knew michu was out injured so to play Bony was to risky, but as laudrup wants euro glory before the premiership as his final swan song then he dont care about the risk...well he has shot himself and us in the foot the idiot....
SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I want Swansea to get at least a point SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Dai - It's one thing to have an opinion different to virtually everyone else - I've got no problem with that at all - but calling our Manager an idiot speaks volumes about you. We both know (as does everyone else) that you're only doing it to get a rise out of people here. And then you wonder why you get abuse. Sorry, but you're asking for it and not even I can defend you after coming out with such tripe.
This is obviously a very tough game tomorrow against an in form Newcastle...but we're at home and we've beaten them before. Looking at the fixtures shows that not many of our rivals are likely to get 3 points in this round of fixtures; Crystal Palace v West Ham - tough game for both sides, hopefully Palace will get something Arsenal v Hull - should be a home win Liverpool v Norwich - tough ask for Norwich to get anything from Anfield right now Southampton v Villa - a draw would be perfect for us Stoke v Cardiff - only 1 of these teams can possibly gain some ground on us, a draw likely Sunderland v Chelsea - should be extremely difficult for the Mackems to get a win Fulham v Tottenham - can't see Spurs losing West Brom v Man City - City should get at least a draw So even though beating the Toon is a big ask for us at the moment without our firepower, we are the home team and we are capable. A squeaked win would be a big win. A draw or a loss shouldn't see us lose much ground to our rivals but we will have to win the Hull game to avoid unnecessary pressure. So for me from these 2 games; 0 points = disaster 1 -2 points = poor form, worrying 3 points = bang on target for a 40+ points finish 4 points = good form 6 points = excellent return and a significant step towards early safety and a finish between 9th and 12th. Tomorrow night should be exciting, hope the crowd's up for it!
Yes I agree Terror. 6 points would be just what we need to stop some of the nonsense being spouted by some fans right now.
Our game is a little more attractive this year so for a neutral, goven how you boys play it should be a decent watch.
