Is that because you're jealous of the free flowing, attacking football on offer at both clubs or are you just a wum? Or both?
You southampton fans really are good people! Apart from one fan i met at st marys earlier on the season when he told my son to **** off. I wanted to hit him but you know how it goes!
I have tickets for the away end but I shall be staying over for the weekend with Swansea fans and going to the match with them. I used to sit with them for games and vice versa when they stayed with us but your support is such now that we can longer do that although they sat near us in the Saints section when we played you at St Mary's. I would like us to win but for friendships sake I would be happy with a draw. I remember staying in Swansea many years ago and took in a match between Charlton and Swansea. We ended up sitting with the Charlton fans as we bumped into them outside the ground and they quickly recognised my cultured home counties accent and invited us to join them as they had a number of spare tickets which they refused any payment for. It was about the time that Charlton were about to go out of existence and I think Derek Hales was still playing for them. We enjoyed the afternoon, the football was good which you would expect from these two decent sides (none of that West Ham Hoof football) and there were one or two characters among the Charlton fans who had a nice line in gallows humour. I was pleased to see them survive and go on to do well.
We have treatened to give someone a spanking and games are running out, Swansea play fast attacking football which is the type that our CBs struggle with. going for a goal fest and a 5-2 win for us, probably going to end up 1-0 to either side now.
Even if we lose it will be a nice weekend away in the lovely city of Swansea. Looking forward to a stroll along the bay to Mumbles and some ice cream at Joe's Ice Cream Parlour. The very lovely Mrs Godders will be in Swansea market buying the lava bread and her beguiling Welsh vowels will have returned. Wonderful.
Maybe this is the game to bring Fonte back in for Jos? Tough game to predict. A possible high scoring game with one goal separating the teams. I'll go for an optimistic 3-2 to the Saints.
You like Joe's Ice Cream while we like a high standard of spelling and grammar on this thread. Being picky keeps me going. It is also annoys people which keeps me happy.
I wasn't too disappointed with our performance vs swansea at St Mary's (bar keeper-defence communication breakdown!) and we have come on immensely since then. I'm going for a saints win provided we have shaw back and J-Rod can play a whole match. It will be nice to play some football, sadly I won't be going. I'm going for 4-2 win for saints, not sure why. It will be a close fought battle with some very nice football on both sides until saints put the game to bed at around 80mins. Please can dyer not play.
Attacking and wide players have bad games from time to time, Lallana did not do much against Spam, Punch drifts out of games, Dyer has lost his edge abit and even Rickie has poor games and Gaston has 20 pages dedicated to him. But when was JRods last bad performance? hope he is playing as we looked a different team when he came on against Spam
I predict that it'll be last. This isn't really an important game for either team. I reckon 1-1, lovely football being played, but not a relegation or top-4 battle, so no top spot on MoTD
