The Premiership is noted around the world for being competitive as has been mentioned recently by some incoming managers In this environment expectation is the mother of disappointment
Can't believe people are expecting to walk out with 3pts. Quite disrespectful. We have been vulnerable for a while now, are without VVD and can't score.
Anyway back to team talk. Forster Cedric Stephens yoshida Bertrand Romeu jwp Davis Redmond long tadic
Swansea must be confident after their heroic win at anfield. Mind you us and wolves have achieved similar. This is definitely not a banker away win. Clement who is a decent coach has already installed more organisation and belief in the team. Can't believe so many on here think this will be easy. We will need to be on our game to get anything from this. I am expecting a few goals. My prediction 0-7.
Let's just take this whole thing back to where it started. You said that a draw away to Swansea would be a bad result. That is the bit I believe is questionable.
Was hoping it was Rabbit, but its not, its East. Anything could happen tomorrow, would take draw right now.
I would be happy with a draw. Reading some of the comments on this thread you would think we had become like many plastic Manchester United fans.
Would be nice to get a run of decent results in the run up to Wembley, but we don't seem to be able to achieve consistency and miss too many chances. On that basis, I'm hoping for a win against Swansea, but would accept a draw....as we lose too many games. More hopeful for the West Ham game.
Absolutely, FLT. I have just read the response to my point about them winning at Anfield. This was somehow turned into something it wasn't - I may have expressed it badly so haven't taken responded. However, I would say a) Swansea will see this as a winnable game - with our poor away record this year in the PL why wouldn't they? b) we go into this game with a significant injury list and c) they have had rest and preparation time. Add to this mix what others have picked up, that their manager isn't bad, and that they have a few decent players and I'd say a draw tonight would be a good result. A win would be excellent, while a defeat would be frustrating but hardly a shock. We should get the mentality. During our many years of struggle, how often would we have seen the arrival of a mid-table team with loads of injuries who had just qualified for an up-coming Cup Final as a chance to get a much needed win? We'd have been drooling!
Respectable hard fought draw at Swansea followed by a heart warming thumping win against Wet Spam. Then just one more away game (win v Sunderland) to secure momentum going to the cup final. 2 straight weeks in the oxygen chamber for everyone to heal and bond. Perfect...,,
There is no doubt that we are not considered one of the big sides....whilst not a banker, most teams must see playing us as a decent chance of points (especially away from St Marys).
2-1 not sure which way yet. If the players are like me (EDIT: they're not - 1. They are good at football, 2. They are millionaires, 3. They are all 'young', 4. They are not nerds, 5. Kylie is not a goddess to them), they will still be on a high from the Cup Semi Final. Thank god they are all mercenaries and don't like the Saints - 2-1 to us then.
