If he get's the service. Time and time again he was indicating where he wanted the ball but Rangel, Hernandez and Pozuelo all chose the aerial route to try and pick out Michu . I hope that this worked on and it is not indicative of certain players playing for certain players, to try and prove a point ? Just my thoughts .

I was really impressed with some of the play. Michu worked his arse off as if it was a cup final, Leon was outstanding, Routs stopped running into cul-de-sacs (which I admit I have been critical of him for previously) and got into dangerous positions - great game for him.
Pablo was involved in everything good we did but does lose the ball a bit too much at times. He's getting better though.
In fairness our defence wasn't tested so it's ahrd to judge them fairly.
The really positive aspect for me was when petrolul pressed us really hard in the 1st 10mins of each half and our midfield got stuck in and hunted the ball down whilst playing the tiki-taka stuff when the ball was won back. Calm and control personified. If we had caved in early then it could have been a different game.

I felt sorry for Bony as he was getting sandwiched by 3 players most times he got near the ball but on the other hand it freed Michu up nicely. A sign of things to come?

All told a positive performance topped off with a superb cameo from Poz - how exciting is he to watch? Bring on Spurs!

Bony needs to get a bit fitter for me but at this stage he will be a handful for most teams. He needs to gain about half a yard more and his skills he has will be enhanced and there will be no stopping him, Routledge was my man of the match and took his goals well abet against a poor side, the best goal of the night goes to the opposition though and fair play for that...Somewhere and someone who we all know in the group stages next please.
