QPR probably need to win nine games realistically. That doesn't seem too much of a task out of 26 until you consider that they have not won a single game out of twelve so far. They need decent mid table form from now until the end of the season to stand a realistic chance of survival.
If we can get Vorm and Taylor back fit, we'll have decent cover in every position. Do we really need to buy any more players come january?
Taylor is out for the season. I agree that we've got "decent" cover but, if we can afford it, we should be looking at better than decent. We need some midfield steel and definitely another striker. There's not a whole lot of cover for Rangel at RB either. I'm disappointed that some of the younger players such as Situ, Procter and Donnelly don't seem to be coming through, although opportunities are limited for them. Jazz is still an option but I have to wonder if Laudrup rates him given that he hasn't featured much. And, of course, maybe Bartley can step up when he's fit.
definitely need a couple of defenders and a striker for the second half of the season when it gets tougher to get results. Danny needs to be replaced with someone who can finish 10 times better than him as we wont be able to afford all his barren games if we lose michu through injury,
I was a bit optomistic with Taylor, sure I heard somewhere he might be back sooner. So definitely need another defender. Not sure about a striker, Laudrup hasn't finished experimenting with what we've got, should have a clearer picture by January. Agree about midfield steel, maybe Augustien will feature a bit more now he's fit, but we do have 7 top players competing for 4 positions already.
Hopefully we can bag a quality striker in the January window, that would allow Michu then to be freed up and add another goal threat to the team.
I seen Taylor with his girlfreind in Killay on Saturday... Looked perfectly ok to me He has a... Errm... lets say, odd style of attire. Men wearing Ugg boots is a definite No-no in my book and the Tan leather jacket didn't look to clever either. He looked like a Sioux tribal warrior who had joined RAF in 1945.
I do feel sorry for Luke Moore. He played exceptionally against Barnsley, and came on at half time against Reading with us 0-2 down, and had a cracking half of football. To say he "changed the game" might be pushing it, but he definitely had an impact. I thought he'd at least earned himself a few more substitute appearances due to Graham's drop in form, but, since the Reading match, he hasn't had a minute on the pitch and has not always made the bench. I understand Laudrup must see more potential in our other options but hard lines to Moore, I say. He should really be allowed to leave to find first team football elsewhere, as he undoubtedly has talent. With regards to Rangel he is in his sixth season with us now, and is, along with Jason Scotland, in my opinion, the best piece of transfer business that we have ever conducted. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he cost us the whopping sum of £25,000? It was definitely under £100,000 anyway, and he has been the epitome of consistency ever since. A true under-the-radar Swansea City legend!
