Expiementing has brought many a good rolling along team to their knees , playing players whom haven't played a lot together , new formations and such .
Liverpool might well be on a good run, but it's time to end it, and I see us doing that on Saturday, we showed against Citeh we are back to our best, and I'm going with a 3-2 win to Swansea, Llorente has had a confidence boost, Baston will come off the bench, our defence looked good with Der Hoorne in there, so I'm very positive regarding this game, this is where our winning run starts! You heard it here first............
I thought you were always an advocate of experimenting? Anyway, my mate's a Liverpool supporter and his take is that they are awesome going forward but always likely to ship a goal or two. I think he's right. Despite that I can see nothing but a lose here even if we play as well as we did v City because we ship goals too. That combo against an excellent front line doesn't bode well for me. 1-3.
As per usual, your thinking is your downfall .Experimenting when its late in the season and relegation is all but gone for one team certainly isn't the same as experimenting on lesser teams when your in the middle of a battle for the title early in season but you go ahead and clump it all together. You should put that broad brush to actual use and paint your house aussie....you'll get better results
Dai, did you actually watch the game? The result didn't really reflect the performance of the team. we, especially in the first half were dangerous and could have easily scored 2 goals. If you disagree please could you elaborate a little because "" doesn't suffice unfortunately.
I watched every second of it and man city did not get out of neutral, They had the game covered all the way......There was a time that ALL the big clubs had to play their full team and their best to beat us and sometimes that was not enough as we regularly beat them.....So your idea of playing well is way off from my idea of playing well....
Watching on a stream doesn't give you the same overall view of the game as watching it live at the ground. I think most people realise that.
Dai if they had full control why did they leave it till the 65th minute (52 minutes) to take the lead via a penalty?? Pretty risky strategy if you ask me. Again you've failed to elaborate on your statement. You just seem reluctant to give credit where credit is due.
What they have to score in the first minute now do they Football dont work like that......We played the best we could and that best is not good enough and not a patch how we use to play that's what im saying....Man city could easily turn up the gears but they didn't have to improve much to put us to bed or play a full strength side......Football is unpredictable and the only way we were going to win if we had a lot of luck and man city were terrible or we had a couple of penalties.......Liverpool game will be the same where we need some good fortune as Liverpool have some serious fire power and again the form of the two managers are so far apart that if i put money on then it would be on Liverpool all day long.....I would love us to win but i have no confidence we will.....
Did I say that they'd have to score within the first minute?? No! I said that its a pretty risky strategy to allow us to come into the game then turn it on. In reality, we matched them first half then 2nd half they started to control the game (expectedly). They were awarded a penalty similar to one that we got refused earlier and hit us on the counter after a corner for the 3rd. You do realise that we're talking about the best team in the league managed by the best manager in world football. Regardless of what you say and how many you throw in, we still played well and will be good enough to stay in the league playing the way we did last week. Dai we've hardly ever outplayed any of the top teams. We've always had to dig deep and grind the results out. 13 shots, 5 on target and 65% of our passes in thier final 3rd is a decent performance considering. IMO we've seen an improvement in the last two games against City and if we'd played like that in the other games we'd probably have gotten a few more points. You say that people don't understand football when they disagree with you. Well I know enough to see that you're being a little melodramatic, as usual. I'm not happy about the way we have started the season but in reality we're only 3 points off where we should judging the teams we've played and it's still early in the season. The only thing that concerns me is the negative way we set our team up because I don't think we have the players to play that kind of system and Guidolin isn't utilising the teams strengths (our wingers).
Your problem is everytime you open your mouth , you say something..Three or four games left last season and all we needed was for us to get a point or the team below us to lose a point and we were safe so I said it would be a good time to experiment... a very fair take on things . You go off on how we must play our best team till we are mathematically safe . Fast forward to now and I say I'm HOPING Liverpool " experiment" a bit , like bigger clubs do against smaller clubs and we take advantage of it . Then you come on here with a snide remark saying " I thought you were ALWAYS an advocate of experimenting " . And of course with your " Question mark " which you seem to think you can add to anything you say to justify snide remarks . Well you know what you can do with your question mark aussie and its got to do with darkness .As a general rule I ignore you and it is always you that starts something . If you want trouble I'll give you all you want , you only have to start it because I never start anything with you but your like Dennis the menace with his finger on the botton .
