Yeah, let me second that. So busy whinging about the team selection and suchlike, it's easy to overlook the tribute and the fact that Swansea hosed us. Well done on both counts.
I think most Liverpool fans know the best side won yesterday. It is just the usual thing, it is the big club loses rather than the smaller club wins. I am used to that now.
Not sure about anyone else but I thought I seen a " Super Pratley " out there with a shot in Mr. Cork . I knew from some past shots he made good contact but that was a prize goal , and should have assisted on his own goal . There are players who have come up big to get us out of this mess .....Corker is one of them . Excited to see his next few seasons . Britton was no slouch out there either yesterday and I'm super happy for the manager . Seems his Premier League dreams may be realized.......one way or another .
The players played well but you have to look at the opposition they played against. I would have been disappointed if we had lost at home when i saw the team sheet. There would be a different tale to speak if Liverpool had played their full side thats for sure, But you can only beat whats infront of you and we took advantage of the situation. I was surprised klopp fielded the side he did knowing he needed the points towards champions league football next season and now must win the Europa cup to qualify and they are all ready 1-0 down in the first leg......I think he has made an error of judgement and took us far to lightly myself and was punished for it.. We are not consistent enough that we can play the same team against a bottom club and lose, So a one off good performance is welcomed but we have to be good every game not just 3 or 4 a season....
A club of Liverpool's stature should be able to field 8 quality changes from their squad, the fact that they didn't live up to expectations only proves the weakness in depth that Liverpool have, though saying that, why the hell Kloppy didn't bring on Joe Allen was tragic given their woeful midfield that was clearly miss firing, glad he didn't though, but as for their defence well, the less said the better. I know Joe played in the Villarreal game, but he should have been on the bench as a sub, given he has played very little for Liverpool this season. I hope we are in for Joe this summer, he is wasted at Liverpool, who are clearly dragging their feet on his contract, just watch him go this summer in France................
