Great win, we were excellent for the first 60 minutes or so, as people have said, poor defending yet again for the goal. Just glad they turned up with a weakened side, saying that I still think we would have given them a game on that performance if they had turned up with their proper team out there.
The players were up for it no doubt and well done to them and Guidolin. Poor substitution again though, but I understand the thinking behind it. We were fortunate that the Liverpool team was not at full strength but hey, you can only play what's in front of you and I thought that they still had some top players out there. Should Liverpool fans blame Klopp? Absolutely not imo. What a weird season, and doesn't Ayew sum up the team? Couldn't give a **** one game then a world beater who's hungry for goals in the next. This game reinforces my belief that the calls for a "massive clearout" are way off the mark imo. Yes, we need fresh faces definitely, and a new manager who can motivate the players more consistently, but we have the makings of a really good team here, and I said that even after the Leicester game. The most important thing is that we are now safe and can breathe a sigh of relief.
