This could end up 5-5. We are playing really well with the ball. Need to tighten up a little in defence.
Dyer indeed is having a mare his decision making is all over the shop, 3 v 2, pass right 1 v 2, or pass left to bony 1v1, yet he passes right and Liverpool break up the attack. Routledge needs to learn to cross with his left, he surely can't control the ball when using the outside of his right to cross. 1st goal was just one of those goals, JDG was at fault for their second, ball watching instead of marking Henderson, and Ash was at fault for the 3rd for not marking. I would like to see Canas on for JDG to solidify to middle and get Shelvey back up in the AM role, cos JDG is not doing it either way for me today. See which of Routs, Shelvey and Dyer is worst in the second half and bring pablo on, as we need his ability to open up defences as Liverpool defensivly have been as poor as us. But a good game none the less, and with a bit of a tactical change, we can win this game.
How many times have we asked that this season? Captain fantastic not!! I said in another post that if we could keep in the game until half time, we might have a chance. This on the basis that Liverpool usually start strongly but fade badly in some games - against us for instance. Our defence is poor and I crap myself every time they attack - they seem to have so much space in midfield to pick up the ball. On the other hand, we look dangerous when we have it and I don't rate the Liverpool defence which can get flaky under pressure. Wish as a team that we were physically stronger on the ball - Suarez isn't a giant but he's pretty strong. Perhaps Bony could show the others how and he's having a decent game. All in all, we are doing pretty well. Tighten the defence and go for them second half to see if they crumble. It would help if Dyer could get in the game more as well because he's not doing it yet.
inredible 1st half i was fearing the worst after their 2nd but credit to the lads for persisiting with our passing game and weve actually created the better chances and situations the difference of course being Suarez and Sturridge. more of the same please but a bit tighter at the back!
Our wide boys are so frustrating and inconsistent. Dyer the main culprit. Terrible decision making. However, we are in this and could win it but we have to be smarter in the final 3rd.
An evenly matched contest so far, and a game we could win if we make the right subs, I would like to see Hernandez on instead of De Guzman, there will be some good opportunities to get back at Liverpool second half, we need to be a bit more organised at the back, though Liverpool are pressing high up and doing well with it!.................
