Same. Only Macca survives from that squad. Also, when your away games have come at teams inside the current top half it comes as no surprise that the away form is weaker than the home form. It's worth noting that on we won on paper the easiest of those away games. I reckon it'll be a draw tomorrow 1-1.
It's also worth noting that although we didn't and we can't change things now, we should really have got something from both Spurs and Everton
Before we had him then ? He had a habit of doing that. he scored the winner for us as well Swansea 2-1 Cardiff, with a last-minute goal which won the last ever derby at the Vetch Field , spooky .He lives locally and watches the games on occasion
Great game, haven't seen this footage for years, perhaps since that weekend I went to the game: We had him on loan, beginning of 93/94, from Soton. Did well for us from what I remember. Sure he scored another important goal for us too but can't quite recall. We were skint at the time and had no hope of signing him though.
That combination of Steve Moran's hair, Steve Moran's gut and Steve Moran in a No 2 shirt is quite something.
Aye, pre squad numbers, for some reason (perhaps for art) Dolan thought it’d be a good idea for Moran to wear No.2 (though I’m sure he started wearing a more logical number later in the season). In reflection, he did quite well for us that year. He was injured lots but I’m sure he still managed double figures (including a hat-trick v Rotherham). I remember when we signed him, he made his debut in a friendly v Villa. He got the ball near the half way line and made this incredible run into the Villa box, the crowd gasped…and Moran miskicked, missing the ball completely, and fell over. Hard to believe that about seven years previous he was one of the hottest properties of the then First Division. His hair was a disgrace though.
It's amazing to think that Leon Britton played in that vital Swansea game all those years ago. I would certainly have him here, he'd be a great fit in our midfield.
Does it simple with a great engine for someone so small , a club legend .He's injured atm so you'll have to deal with his exact opposite of a six foot Spaniard (he's good as well)
He had hair he formed a great partnership with Jason Smith for us and we had one of the meanest defences under Hollins but Smith retired injured and Bound wasn't the same player after that and moved on to Oxford ?
Tonight, I'd like to see; McGregor Rosie Chester Davies Figgy Elmo Meyler Thudd Livermore Brady Sagbo That seems to be our most fluid line-up to date and I really hope SB doesnt stick with the 352 again. 2-1 City
Will be disappointed with anything less than 3 points, shouldn't be difficult. Heart says 3-0 city, head says 1-0. Davies to score with his head from a Thudd free kick from the halfway line. Home - Away 74% - 26% possession 18 shots - 2 shots 3 on target - 1 on target Some little chap from Singapore told me to bet on this.
This would be my preferred line up, much prefer to see Rossy behind Elmo. Though he might go for the same line up as Liverpool, except Graham (SB will hope he will be fired up to get one over on the Swans) in for Koren.
Yes I'm sure Graham will want to get one over on us for Laudrup offloading him due to his drinking habits and proclivity for underage girls. Anything can happen but contrary to "shouldn't be difficult" I suspect that whoever wins will have to work hard to earn it.
A few weeks ago we would have had a chance, but this is one of those games that's come at the wrong time with Swansea now on a high.
Great another 3 points in the bag. Dont need to try to watch the game now! Love this match fixing saves a lot of wasted time. Is DJ Campbell the 4 th official?
