Worst performance I've seen from us since the championship. The fact we managed to get a point baffles me. Poz makes a difference. He should never have been dropped. If your gonna play Michu then stick him up front, drop de Guzman and put poz behind the striker.
The ref did you a couple of favours, I'm not sure why you're complaining, you're lucky you got a point.
Comparing how we are playing to how Everton are currently playing is frightening. We were clueless, gutless and passionless again tonight. Laudrup please watch a couple of Everton's games under Martinez. We used to play like that once
Well that was ****, all that possession and just 2 shots om target. I wrote this below a few days ago and i stand by it as our biggest problem.. Consistency is a must now or all the good work done against the toon will again be lost like we have been doing all season. If we can get a result against Hull who are no mugs then we will have a small gap to go to our bogey team norwich but should we have a bad game against hull then we are back where we started. If we can beat hull and Norwich then we will have learned something about being consistent and will climb the table into where we all thought we would be at the beginning of the season and with a great chance of getting one of the european places...Consistency has been our biggest fault so far this season...,
all round poor performance and we were lucky to get a point - we play one good game and the players start believing their own hype and think they only have to turn up, no wonder we havent won back to back games for so long, dont know if thats mental toughness or complacency but Laudrup needs to sort it out - no energy or pace tonight but lets take the point, move on and finish the job at St Gallen. ps Chico is embarassing himself and us with his histrionics - drop him the next time he rolls around like hes been shot!
Awful. Just awful. We didn't deserve to get anything and got very lucky to get anything from that. Dai, this is why I think Refs can influence results, he gifted our goal because it was illegal and rejected Hulls valid penalty appeal afterwards. It's speculative but most penalties are coverted. But you are right in that our consistency is way below par.
two steps forward and one step back has been our season so far. We camped in their half without making it count and it looked like nobody wanted to risk getting injured incase they are picked for the european match. Hull were there for the taking and we played pass the parcel..We should have played donnelly at least he would have shown some passion..
I agree with Donnelly, the guy wants to impress because Laudrup has his first XI and subs bench in mind so this guy wants to force his way in. He'd run his heart out. He could teach a few of the seniors a thing or two about urgency, show them up even!
Not great but a valuable point gained and some ref decissions going our way for a change will start towards balancing out the poor reffing weve endured so far this season. Dyer worked hard but to many others were`nt switched on from the begining ! Just saw some replays of chicos goal Bruce complaining of it hit his hand then arm then leg n arm make your mind up mun ! but looked like it hit his hip just below his arm but carragah n nevil plus that nob on sky sports panel are picking holes in every thing we did but nothing against hull ! if we were that bad and got a draw whats that make them ?
Very disappointing. That first half was the worst for a long time. Slow, predictable and everything was down the right, what happened to switching attacks? What happened to the atmosphere? Second half was bearable, some decent pressure then tried to throw it again
Thier 10 man defence was very good and tactics must have been give us corners cos were shyte at them . It worked except once .
In the end I was glad to get a point out of that. Hull put in a very workmanlike performance and looked an established Premiership side. I couldnt understand why they didn't go for the win instead of timewasting. From our point of view I wouldnt have started with Michu after coming back from injury and would have shown more faith in the lads who demolished Newcastle just to have some consistency. The first half was Sousaesque - we don't want to go back to that. Credit to Hull fans who made the trip on a Monday night in December
I was not disappointed by the skill or the team selection. No, no. I was disappointed by most of the team not bothering their asses to chase the game. Ashley didn't have a great game. JDG rarely has a great game. Tiendalli was his usual sub-standard self. Michu didn't look fit. Dyer and Davies put in a shift, but what they're supposed to do on their own, I don't know. The optimist in me says we should be happy with a point against a team that turned Liverpool over at Anfield. We gained a place in the table and were still collecting points. Just wish the team could watch the last two games in succession and see the stark contrast in desire.
If we are playing a european game next then you can guarantee we won't play like we know we can. Its another 2 points dropped as far as im concerned and i wish if they are told to conserve energy then i hope we get knocked out very soon. with the points we have dropped at home this season that were suppose to be bankers then we would be up there alongside everton...
