Can't understand why we didn't start with the 4-6-0. We'd have flooded out their midfield and brought on Michu later when Hull were tired.
We probably have the worst successful cross ratio in the league, our style allows for lots of crosses but we don't have any players that can actually cross the ball.
This is the laziest performance I've seen from us in a long time. Whenever one of our players have the ball the rest just stand there and watch. Hernandez and shelvey seem determined to give it back to hull.
But Shelvey seems determined to get the ball back somewhat, Hernandez less so. Why did Laudrup change what was successful last time out? We attacked with force when our goal threat was from the four highest positioned midfielders.
rubbish 1st half - lets hope we come up with our usual 1 half performance this time. no pace no urgency no ideas slopy passing sort it out Laudrup and put it right in the 2nd
I know Williams is not having the best of games, but Hernandez is also giving the ball away. But as for JDG, he is pure crap! I hope he's shipped out at the end of the season, worst player in our squad by a country mile. Another game we start with no heart or passion. Bloody disgrace!..........
How many thousand more times do we have to send Ash up for a corner ? He never scores from them. He either loses the header or heads it over the bar. It's obviously a very inefficient tactic, why do we have to persist with it ?
We didn't deserve anything from that first half, we didn't test their keeper and our players waste over 90% of the crosses. I notice all other teams, including Championship level teams, at least get the ball somewhere near their strikers and others who are in the box but this is something our team of players consistently fail to do. For us the end product is always woefully off target to the point you know it was wayward before it is a few meters after leaving their foot. That lack of accuracy is to be frank... unacceptable. As our team finds itself outnumbering the opposition in putting in crosses in virtually every game nor matter who the opposition is, I find it ridiculous that we convert possibly the least amount of goals from crosses because they land several meters away from any of our own team players. In fact, a too high percentage don't even get past their second defender because it is low and straight at him. How many goals have we wasted away from this most basic of passes from the wing?!?!?!
