Think Vinagre injury is lack of consistent actual playing time , training doesn’t give you the same intensity . I think other non regulars have probably suffered for it too.
A few weeks ago Liam didn't know his best team. Now he's kopping **** for not playing his more 'fringe' players. Couldn't make it up.
He still doesn’t know his best team does he ? I’m , not sure iof your point , I wasn’t suggesting anything other than players are more more robust when playing regularly , that’s all .
I had a good look for him on the replay because it was obvious he wasn't where he should be - he was in the centre circle for some reason about 30 yards out of position - something he does again and again - if he's going to go walkabouts then we need someone to cover him, but we don't
That’s not my point , he is not match tuned leaving him open to this sort of injury . What if he’s really trying too hard in training to get a place ?
I don't really understand your point then sorry, he's suffered an injury in training because he hasn't played enough matches? It's not as if he's been thrown in to start a game and hurt himself and that's the reason, he's done a lot of training so he's used to that intensity so getting injured in training has no relevance to match games. I thought people normally complained people cop injuries because they've played too many games. I think he's just a pretty injury prone player and it's hardly a surprise he has repeated soft tissue injuries.
Watched goals , first goal nobody bust a gut to get back and help Macca, second , midfield inc Morton were just ambling around the half way line allowing them to break . Second poor keeping tho
Ok I’ll go again, IMO players playing weekly are less I juryprone due to ‘match’ sharpness and robustness than being subs etc where despite training they are prone to stretch injuries hamstrings and calves etc. HT2 may know more having played at pro level , I could be totally wrong. As you say he could be injury prone or unlucky
HT2 has gone on record as saying you're either fit or you're not. That simple. (depending on who the manager is Obvs). But yeah, I see what you're driving at and there's maybe something in that. HT2 was a goalie wasn't he? Plenty of high intensity sprinting, lunging and getting kicked in that job isn't there?? Especially in the youth team and Ressies.
Yeah what would a goalie know anyway - only joking !! When players come back from injury they have an adrenaline return then several very average performances , pretty sure they protect themselves - and get ‘match’ fit . Personally I think match fit and training fit levels are not to same - fit enough to play after all the tests is not the same as muscle and tendon ligament ready .
