Is it just me or would we all not have done exactly the same as the ball boy if it was us instead of Swansea and chelski were pushing to get a goal? Admittedly the ref would likely have added time on at the end this rendering it a bit pointless but every little helps! If the ball boy at Fer Ark had done the same thing and held onto the ball when we were playing the scousers in the cup, we'd have likely have got players back and been able to stop them scoring. As it happened, silly beggar threw the ball back to the scousers in super quick time and they caught us out and scored. Anyway, in this instance it was chelski. Couldn't have happened to a nicer team. ****ers
The kid and his dad met with Hazard, Terry and Lampard after the game, all shook hands, no police action, common sense prevails.
Would you sack the ballboy whose parents have a 22% stake in the club, and are currently owning more of the club than anyone else. I doubt it.
BREAKING: Live picture of Swansea ballboy Charlie Morgan, as he seems to be recovering well in hospital.
he didn't kick him hard enough. he was only going to get sent off once. let's hope the injury keeps him away from wembley.
This nearly happened to me at Boothferry Park, was stood by the advertising hoarding in the East Stand, the ball went out for a throw-in and tried to pat it back to Neil Buckley who was running after it but pushed it away by mistake. He came running up face full of rage and gobbing off thought he would stick the nut on me or something, ran past in the end though. Scary stuff. No wonder he was so **** the guy was stressed to hell by that.
Cocky little ****, drinking and driving on the way to away games and being 'top dog ballboy'. He even has the word 'lad' in his Twitter bio, and boasted about his time wasting before the game. Basically he thought he'd get away with being a ****er and it backfired by him crying on telly. I'd love to see his reaction when he goes to work or college this morning, he'll have the **** ripped out of him. Pay Nevin's reaction on BBC Breakfast when he found out he was 17 was priceless.
Hazard shouldn't have kicked out like he did and the lad shouldn't have acted like such a bell end in the first place. Fault on both sides and hopefully common sense has prevailed like OLM's post says.
Should've kicked him harder. That ballboy should find himself lucky, at least it wasn't Eric Cantona who kicked him.
This is a monumental moment - for I agree with every word. He's 17 and was bragging on Twitter beforehand about being the best timewaster. He then rolled around like he was a professional footballer. I'd have stamped on his face.
I'd be well pissed off if I was Hazard that my team mates didn't back me up and start swedging the nearest ball boy to them. One in, all in is how we used to play the game. What a set of southern nancy boys eh?
They shouldve called a British Lions 99 or whatever it was. Smash the **** out of the lot of 'em. BallMen are ****s.
It seems the lad is recuperating well and should make a full recovery... https://twitter.com/BBCSporf/status/294210587234295810/photo/1
The kids deffo milking it for all it's worth. Fact he's 17 is a piss take. Why you got a 17 year old as a ball boy?
Best quote about what Pat Nevin said "people should leave pat nevin alone don't kick a man when he is down. "
