Well played lads, leaves me exhausted! My brain has fused. Entertaining yes, back to winning ways, but lessons to be learnt.
We rarely make it easy for ourselves,do we? Another good win and the points keep on accumulating, unbelievable stuff!
And KM didnt enjoy the last 15 mins either! Another great display from Hladky, kept us on top. Taylor had a good game, and adds to our list of goal scorers. We are enjoying the ride, but some ride! The Int break comes at the right time.
Rumours were flying around the North Stand that Williams had been a very naughty boy and had left the Club, these were just rumours and were unsubstantiated but i hope its not true because Clarke is a liability at this level, time will tell.
The ref got booed off the pitch at half time and got some easy decisions wrong later, so i think youre right he was just levelling up and getting the crowd off his back.
Swansea started really well, pressing us really well. Once they scored, they sat back and allowed us to play. The rest of the 1st half, we played pretty much as well as we can going forward. I was amazed we only got 2 as on another day, with the chances created, we could have had 5. Got the 3rd goal after a curious series of events - Clarke’s goal disallowed and then a penalty awarded a minute later. From then, we managed the game pretty well until Swansea went down to 10 men when we switched off (same as Plymouth). They got it back to 3-2 and there were a couple of nervy moments but we come away with the win and head to the international break joint top which no one would have predicted at the start of the season, quick mention for Lowe (Swansea left wing) who had Clarke on toast for the whole game. Not sure what is wrong with Williams but if he’s not fit, Donacien should start ahead of Clarke as he is a far better defender
Lowe destroyed wolfenden for their second, had that been Tuenzebe.....he doesn't score imo!! We need a new RB in January!! Great to see Burns back, I like Hutchinson but he is so wasteful. Hladky saved us at the end again but it should never have been that close, need to finish off our clear cut chances.
We are conceding goals early. Shall we just start the game 0-1 to give the oppo a head start?! Seriously, opposing teams know how we want to play, and come out, press early and force errors, poor passing or lack of marking. Need to change this habit!
Didn’t watch the game, but heard good things and sounds like we could’ve won by a lot more. I’d take any sort of win after the last few results and we’re joint top! Two consecutive losses for Leicester will hopefully spell a bad run of form, but think we’d both happily take the international break to refresh ahead of the festive run of games. Weird habit of conceding early goals, but also having a nice habit of scoring - what’s that 24 consecutive games where we’ve scored? Brilliant stuff.
You can have a pop at Woolfy but Tuanzebe was at fault for the first of the Rotherham goals, wrong side of his man, and I don’t hold that against him - Woolfy spends a lot of the game cleaning up Clarke’s messes and he’s probably knackered out by then. For every error any other of our defenders makes, Clarke makes 10. Hirst needs to do a lot better in front of goal and Scarlet had a nightmare. For all our chances, there were barely any clean strikes.
