Agree Musty - always thought DG could do an effective job as AM (something Dai has been advocating for quite some time)- could he fill Siggi's boots in that respect??
Doesn't Bendtner have a bit of an ego problem? I've heard conflicting reports that for his club he's a bit of a cock, but when he's training or doing press for the National side, he's humble and 'nice as pie'. Maybe having a national legend at the helm, he'll be all sweetness and light (and cancel his twitter account).
I'd take a chance on Bendtner for sure , basically for the scenario Shaper put forward , but not at the wages he'ed need to re-enforce that ego .
I doubt we'll see him coming here, well I hope not, his wage demands would be an issue, not to mention his poor time at Arsenal.
If Bendtner came here we'd immediately see the value of the work that Danny Graham does in closing down up front - in addition to the goals he scores. Bendtner would never put that sort of shift in and Leon, Joe and the rest of the midfield would quickly realise it with the extra pressure they would come under. Whoever we sign up front will have to be prepared to put in a shift unless ML drastically alters our formation.
Not by me he's not, but he does need some quality competition for his place, and that will not come from Lita & Moore!.........
