I disagree ffs, we have 13 points and you make stats say anything, the teams around us have only scored 13-16 goals themselves, and we have the most clean sheets. So stating we ain't getting nowhere is wrong ! We play one up front because it works, we got into this league using that system of play, we have played teams off the pitch in the premier league playing that system, we got 13 points using that system!

The pass pass game works, the route one which is the other style of play will not be used by the club as its a change of philosophy, and if you bothered to listen Brendan we will not change that!

Swansea are the fourth lowest scorers in the Premier League so Rodgers may also want to add firepower to his attack.

"We've done very well up until now with the players that we have," admitted the Swansea manager.

"But you go into the second part of the season as you get towards May, you are going to need all of your players.

"I wanted to assess it through to January, the players that allowed us to arrive in this position deserved that opportunity.

"To give us the opportunity to stay in the league, for that I feel we need between four to six players just to ensure that we keep our strength and our depth.

Yes musty, but if you actually listened to the full press call that is on the swans website, you will hear far more than that snippet, you've got to take his full interview to get the correct context of what he means!

It's very clear his intentions !

brendan has not got it wrong its just we don't have the strength and depth needed to score more goals, we are a pretty weak team when we come up against more powerful teams, take man utd for instance....we were never going to win that game in a million years, united were in control even though we had loads of possession, this is what brendan and others are on about when they say we need strength and depth, now brendan wants a minimum of 4 players but really wants to bring in 6 players and im afraid you wont get players good enough with a stupid budget of £2 million, you wont get 6 players for £10 million so what budget should he have......to me £15 million is not unreasonable for a premiership club to give brendan the best possible chance of getting the strength and depth players he says we desperatly need.......nothing else will suffice.....

Jager, football is a game where the winning team has to score more goals than the opposition, i am sure we will agree on this point. We also seem to agree that we have to stop goals in order to win.

No Goals - Liverpool, Man C, Man U, Arsenal, Sunderland, Wigan ffs

pathetic defence - Arsenal, Wolves, Norwich, Man Utd

however lets stick to the championship policy, this will work in the PL

we are weak up front, if we have got to rely on danny all season then we wont score many goals, now this strength and depth brendan and others are on about will go a long way to rectifying that problem....but lads its going to cost and it will be money well spent......

Musty how the hell can you say pathetic defence against utd and arsenal ? They scored through a couple of errors and that is it, everybody makes a mistake and we got punished twice only !

As for the no goals, we got 3 points from those games, and against 3 the biggest teams in the league, so stop saying ffs as its making you look silly!

Also I do understand the concept of football, so there is no need to ask, and the stopping of goals, yes we have one of the best keepers in the league, that is why he has kept 5 clean sheets!

I would put money on the two new players being situ and the other guy I think from Fulham , and maybe that kid from Chelsea on loan, maybe one more on a short term loan , and a player for about £2m if we find the right one.

So that is how I see the new players fitting into the makeup, that is why I am saying that the funds will be limited !

Dai we play one up front and that is Graham, we have Lita and Moore on the bench, so what you are basically saying is that none of them are good enough and we need another player to play the lone striker, yes ?

play any of them jager it dont mater we are still weak going forward and that why we are not scoring many goals. we have plenty of possession and thats it, sir Alex commentated on it, he said apart from Sinclair's miss we were no threat going forward and he is right and that has been mentioned by quite a few people now and fair play to brendan he recognizes this problem and he wants to fix it,,,,,you cant do that on peanuts in the premiership....

Well that's a waste of more than £5m then, tell you what we put graham and lita up for sale because it's not good enough, then get others in ! Like its going to happen, we have scored as many goals as others around us in the league, and we got the points to prove it.

We play as I said one up front so anyone brought in would have to replace graham who has scored 4 goals for us after 12 games, you carry that through to the rest of the season and you have someone scoring 12-13 goals, that was a top 6 amount last season.

No not at all, I tell you what he wants to do is to put some strength and depth in the team to enable Danny and Lita to penetrate and score more goals. so what you are saying is rubbish about sell of danny and Lita what the hell for....thats just being silly...

Its about service Dai, who provides that service? the wingers, Sinclair and Dyer, and Gower and Allen in the middle, I would say Leon as well, but he is more a defensive midfielder, so we have options on the bench with Routledge and Augustien when he makes a return, so if anyone is brought in on that they must be better than them.

Jager Dai is correct when he says we are light up front, and many independent observers have stated the same, Moor and Lita are not good enough to challenge Graham for the Striker position, and if I had my way, I would move them on for a Borini type striker who would give Graham competition for his position, that way we will start to get clinical in the final third!...............

Phil, how can you say we are light up front when Lita and Moore are not playing? You can only say that if they are on the field of play , he has had 2 games, and used as a sub 5 times, and scored 1 assisted 1 , I am not his greatest fan, but even I recognise that he can't help us on the bench
