Can I just say you are welcome to some of those players you mention, now you paid what for Carroll ? So let's start the bidding at £15m each for the players. We will be happy to take another 4 points off you next season ! Best wishes, you have a cracking new manager, but now you'll discover his shortcomings as he has a few. Oh thanks for the £5m by the way
Ooookay... Calm down. Was just asking because I actually don't think the table is a complete reflection on the quality of each teams players, but a number of factors. You probably have better players than Everton imo. A few of theirs would get into your team though.
Don't talk to me about that, I was up in the top 600,000 and then did a "Man U" and ended up at 950,000th
Interestingly no one has mentioned Ashley Williams, who has the potential to step up and improve into a top quality centre half. Not that I'd like you lot to sign him of course, he's way too good a prospect.
Skrtel and Agger are both injury prone though. And Carragher is too old for this level now, for a full season anyway. What am I on about anyway, yeah he's not the player you're looking for?!
Skrtel injury prone? You forgot Coates, Kelly who can and is naturally a CB, Wisdom who should be breaking through, Danny Wilson has been on loan, Carra probably has one more season ( we shall see). Was defense our problem last year Ruff? No, it was goals, hence priority.
Skrtel injury prone!!!!!!!No he isnt u t*t, f**k off back to your own board, did he miss an LFC game in the League thru injury last year,im not sure he did.Typical manc waffling sh*t about everyones else team which he knows f** all about
By the way, he's played 128 games in four and a half seasons. I'd say do the maths but you are clearly incapable of that.
You could take scott sinclair for all we care... he's sh*te in all honesty, had a great season last year, can take a penalty, but very overrated. If you offer anything in 8 figures then I'd drive him there myself. Gylfi.... well I hope he stays, but if he doesn't, good luck to him. As for the other lads... I hope they remember the Swansea city curse... Few leave the club to have decent careers.
Twenty eight actually. It is irrelevant what United players are going to do. Honestly, what has that got to do with anything? The only point is that of all the Swansea players the only one truly good enough to step up is Williams, not that you'd have the first clue who he is, and that he is an excellent prospect. I never said he'd go straight in. Not once. But the fact of the matter is you can't really rely on two centre halves, it's always worth having four, and Williams has the potential to be a great asset. But that makes me bitter of course. Change the ****ing record Baz.
Oh we have a list of better players but they didn't perform together effectively points wise. Take your lot. And this is a compliment by the way. On paper: player by player you don't look as good as City & when it came down to one match it showed but ...as a team you got exactly the same points because you have a manager & club mentality that succeeds. How long that lasts without new players or under a different manager altering the chemistry who knows?
Britton, Allen, maybe hijacking the Sigurdsson move and even Scott Sinclair? If Rodgers WERE to go back to the tried and tested. Don't know how much he'll fancy one or two of the LFC players in his pass, pass, pass philosophy. Not sure Charlie Adam for instance, is quite in the Rodgers mould. Not sure what his ball retention stats are like but everytime I've seen him, he can't help pinging 50 yard passes across the width of the field without much gain. Not tippy-tappy stuff like the Swans have served up.
Seem to remember a Banter Thread? However Jelavic is not a player I would want at Liverpool. Do you lot regret not going for him?
