Apologies, I have family from there and the trauma runs deep believe me. It's like Calabria with added rain and cold.

Edit: Concerning Swansea this has just come up on the BBC website, poor kid: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-south-west-wales-19906942

As a neutral party, one of your three registered IP addresses is in Leeds, the other two are in Rugby. As you're saying you're in Brynmill there shouldn't be a problem with me disclosing that, it just means they're dynamic addresses randomly allocated by your ISP(s) rather than fixed ones. Two of the three are shared with Peruvian, which is why there's a connection been made. Peruvian though has posted from 90 different IP addresses, and I'm not sure how to find the last date he was on on each of them. As a result I wouldn't have made the connection sound so definite based on the information I have, but the Swansea mods have access to the IP each post on their forum came from, so they could be matching the IPs with times as well.

What about not606 posters who have to be careful with their IPs due to their locations (not myself I hasten to add)? PRC, DPRK, IRI, KSA, Swansea, Syria, Israel etc.

I was going to ask in what context you were asking about all those dangerous places, then I realised it was a joke because Israel isn't too bad for it.

1+1=90! Should never act (or speak publicly) on assumption...

Dying for Peru to get on here. Mr T, as I call him cos he once referred to his wife as Mrs T (what was I saying about assumptions?!!), is a missionary doing good works for disadvantaged people in the relative wilds of his native Peru. His British parents live over here, somewhere up north these days if I rightly remember, and he visits them from time to time.

From my dealings with him, he has massive integrity and, whilst a passionate QPR fan (as you'd expect of such an honourable soul!), hardly fits the bill as a message board hooligan! He has however converted a few of us on here to becoming closet Peru fans - if only cos of him and the rather fetching kit they wear!

Unless Mr T puts me right on any misinterpretations, I think the case against Peruvian is hereby dismissed as complete bollocks.

I agree. Like I say, you can see why the connection was made, but there wasn't enough checking done on how valid that was. If someone has 90 IPs then they're obviously on dynamic rather than fixed, so someone new sharing them isn't unlikely, it just means they have the same ISP and happen to have been allocated the same addresses at some point. And the more the initial poster has had the more chance the new poster will get one of those when they next get given one.

EDIT: Even if it turns out it is him, the suspicion should IMHO have been kept quiet until there was more evidence than that. By all means they could have said black swan was a wum, but the connection to another user shouldn't have been made.

The IP address system is ****ed, I remember when the Leeds mod accused a bloke of being a wum on their board, then carried on posting accounts he said were this guy until he'd posted about 120 different people, where many were regular posters with over 1000 posts <laugh> then he realised it may be wrong

The IP system itself is fine, it's mods not knowing how to use the information they're given that causes the problems.

Peruvian would never get involved in anything like that.

Leeds IP address? An oxymoron if there ever was one.
