Bowen Grosicki Irvine ( he will be a huge loss) special mention for the diehards. The lower the crowds go the better the atmosphere is. Loved it. And the stick Sumo Bony got. Best chant of the night ? 'Your only here for the shopping' Wit the Liverpool Kop would have made national news with back in the day.
It was an excellent run followed by a really poor shot. Perhaps tiredness comes into it because after a run like that, kicking a ball with any power can be hard, but it was certainly disappointing because he ended up about 5 yards out with a decent angle to beat the keeper.
Bowen Stewart Grocer Campbell great as well. Its a shame the front three will be disbanded just when we are getting the best from them. Great first home game of the season for me following my first away at QPR. Two great results and 6 City goals.
1- Elphick 2- Irvine 3- Stewart. Campbell unlucky to miss out . Bowen and Grosicki both had slow starts and ignoring that they would both have been in the 3. Great overall team performance in second half.
Most players including Irvine were patchy in the first half, that's why the attacks were more random and sporadic then. In the second half you could see the confidence grow and with it the passing and as a result we created more chances. At two goals up maybe we could have been more solid, with their second goal we didn't have as many players back as we could have. Those who were complaining that Slutsky was so much more entertaining are probably eating their words now.
You could also say it was an excellent save by their keeper. I won’t criticise him for missing as he carried the ball a considerable distance, took the pressure off our defence and beat 3 or 4 Swansea players in the process.

Decent atmosphere, small queue at the turnstiles* and for the refreshments/toilets, three points and an enjoyable match, what's not to like?! The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Has the sherry wore off this morning ? I posted that the atmosphere seems to be better the lower the crowds get, and everyone I speak to agrees. ffs.
