I looked at how well Swansea played against Manchester City last week and thought 'where has that come from?'

Their tactics were no different to when Garry Monk was in charge, apart from they all had a go.

If they do the same again on Sunday then I actually quite fancy the Swans to win this time.

West Ham's form has dropped off in recent weeks after their good start to the season, especially in front of goal.

Lawro's prediction: 2-0

 

Did he watch us before Saturday's game? Tactics no different, now tell me he's got to be having a laugh, and they call him a pundit. I know what I would call him ........

Andy Carroll is set to miss West Ham's trip to Swansea after picking up a groin strain - but manager Slaven Bilic insists the problem is 'not long term'.

Carroll has suffered badly with injuries during his time at Upton Park but he has racked up 11 appearances so far this term, including starts in the side's last two games.

But he is back on the treatment table after sustaining a fresh groin problem and is now unlikely to be part of the Hammers squad which travels to the Liberty Stadium on Sunday.

Bilic said: "Andy Carroll is feeling his groin and he looks like he will probably be off for the Swansea game so that's a big blow.

He along with too many others are paid to spout garbage and that was garbage of the highest order .

 

In his defence he is basing this on the MOTD highlights that he watches with his can of Carling sat on his sofa at 10.30pm every Saturday night

 

I hope Curtis brings Gomis off the bench again, I still do not think he deserves a start...........

Every time we play against Carroll he comes into the game struggling , and usually leaves with a brace .
If he does play , here's hoping we break that run.Update , Carroll is not available

 

I hope Carroll doesnt play as he is guaranteed to get a goal!
If we can keep a clean sheet we could well win this 2-0 - hang on isn't that Lawro's prediction!!

 

I was hoping Caroll would play as I think we'll win this and I'd love to see the fans give the smug tit some stick.

 

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic: "The keys to beating Swansea? I watched their last five games and they didn't play the best. Sometimes they showed good quality going forward but they were open at the back. Sometimes they were unlucky, as they definitely were at Manchester City last weekend.

"We must be as compact as them, and then we have the quality to beat them. We have to show more quality in the final third."

I hope we stuff them, I also hope Shelvey is no where near the starting 11, or on the bench...............

Not a good thing when you have to count on other teams for you're own confidence .

 

I disagree with the downer on Shelvey. He's one of the few players who can thread a ball through with a defence splitting pass and score some spectacular goals himself. Let's his head drop sometimes but he's not alone in that of late and in fact he's one of the few match winners we have.

Whatever the case I hope Carroll doesn't play. He's got the beating of Ash every time.

 

Agree. We'll find out if all of the stuff in the papers is true or nonsense tomorrow.

 

But who do you play him instead of? Do you go for Jonjo, who will pull something off once in a blue moon, or do you play Ki, Cork, Leon and Gylfi every week?

 

I really like Shelvey , but it doesn't mean I don ' t want to sell him .
There is interest in him , we have no where to play him forward unless we share Siggy's position .....SOLD , perferably to Man City so we get best money and he won't play a lot against us .
