Swansea City v West Bromwich Albion Competition - Sky Bet Championship Date - 7 March 2020 Venue - Liberty Stadium Kick off - 3pm Following their hard fought 2-2 draw away at Blackburn, next up for Steve Cooper’s Swansea squad is a home match against table-topping West Brom. Bradley Johnson's late goal rescued a point for Blackburn Rovers against fellow Championship play-off chasers Swansea City. Sam Gallagher gave Blackburn the lead, but Rhian Brewster's fine half-volley brought Swansea level on the stroke of half-time. Andre Ayew's penalty put the Welsh side ahead before Swans keeper Freddie Woodman saved Danny Graham's spot-kick. But Johnson's deflected shot in injury time secured a point for Tony Mowbray's side as Swansea conceded a late goal for the second successive game. Only a point separated eighth-placed Blackburn and Swansea in ninth spot ahead of the game at Ewood Park, where Swansea have not won since 1971. After an evenly-matched opening, Gallagher took advantage of a mix-up in the Swansea defence to turn home Ryan Nyambe's low teasing cross to give Rovers the lead. Brewster levelled in the final minute of the first half with a swivelled shot on the half volley which beat Christian Walton. But the on-loan Liverpool youngster was brought back down to earth when he was shown a yellow card for his goal celebrations. Swansea were awarded a penalty two minutes into the second half when Jordon Garrick was brought down by Tosin Adarabioyo. Ayew stepped up to take the kick and the Ghanaian international coolly struck home his 14th goal of the season. Rovers themselves were awarded a penalty when Ben Brereton was brought down by Joe Rodon. Former Swansea striker Graham, who had only come on as a substitute a few minutes earlier, saw his kick saved by Woodman. It was Woodman's second penalty save of the week after he had denied Aleksandar Mitrovic in the defeat at Fulham. Graham nearly made instant amends for his miss when he struck the post before Swansea's Conor Gallagher fired wide. Sam Gallagher headed straight at Woodman in stoppage time as Blackburn pushed for an equaliser, which finally came when Johnson's third goal of the season deep in injury time rescued the home side and denied Swansea. On the same day that the Swans were drawing at Ewood Park, Wigan Athletic boss Paul Cook was able to claim that his team have their "belief back" after victory over West Bromwich Albion moved them out of the relegation zone and helped reduce the Baggies' lead at the top of the Championship. Sam Morsy drilled home from 12 yards to end West Brom's six-game unbeaten run and earn the in-form Latics a third successive victory. The result lifted Wigan out of the bottom three for the first time in three months, while Leeds United’s comfortable win over Hull City sees them breathing down West Brom's necks in the race for the title. Cook's side had taken just four points from their opening 13 away games this season, but have now recorded a fourth victory in five on their travels - a run that has seen them win at both Leeds and, now, the Baggies. The Swans have played West Brom on 44 previous occasions and, overall, have the upper hand having won 18, lost 17 and drawn 9. However, in the reverse fixture at the Hawthorns in December it was the Baggies who had the upper hand, romping to a 5-1 home win: Turning to Saturday, with West Brom having lost to Wigan in their last Championship game, I expect them to be firing on all cylinders and can see them running out 1-3 winners.

Andre Ayew is unlikely to play due to an injury, Celina and Routs are also out.....is this a chance for clueless to start with 2 wingers and attack the Baggies and score some goals? I hope so. Any kind of win will do for me...even a 97th minute penalty scored by us or another one saved by Freddie....
Anyone know of any links ? https://www.vipbox.lc/swansea-city-vs-west-bromwich-albion-1-live Answered my own question
Good entertaining game and a draw a fair result , for all WBA movement around our box they really didn't force freddie into any meaningful save except for one in the first half with a shot across the face of our goal. We had a few chances to go ahead but the luck was not with us today. My thoughts go out to the family of ? who was having CPR preformed on him for an age after the game , this happened near to the river opposite the river side apartments with a gaggle of ambulances and para medics/ St Johns in attendance, just hope he's ok
