how many times have we given the ball away cheaply in the first 15 mins, we seem to be playing only in our third, we need to wake up and push up
we are sitting too deep. Every time Spurs get the ball they can move to the half way line before they face our players. When we get the ball they are on us around our area.
Playing very deep, and just hit them n the break. Very frustrating with some sloppy passing, need to cut that out. But saying that Spurs never really threatened us. Defence looking strong, putting body and face on the line. (Well done Leon)
Considering we're playing Tottenham away I think we're doing quite okay. Ash and Chico are sharp and everyone seems very focused and ready. With a bit of luck we could have scored. Can't expect to control this game so it's up to our defense and counter attacks and that is going alright imo.
I hope ML changes it at half time - I think we need to be a bit more positive and we can get something out of this game. I don't think we will stop them scoring for another 45mins if we keep sitting as deep as we have. Plus giving the ball away around the area (and it's not just Ki doing this btw) Spurs will eventually make us pay.
Stewards are like the Stasi here. What a bunch of ****ers. Telling is to sit down but leaving their fans stand up. Complained to the SW Police and they told the stewards to leave us alone. Way too sloppy carry on like this and we'll lose Aber, they only allocated us the top section.
0-0 half time happy with that ? ML tactics seem defend and absorbe first, attack on the counter break second ! working so far. If we get the first goal they will be more exposed to our counter attacks . And what about that michu long shot eh! nice to have a confident and deadly player in our team.
Agree with above comments. Ki,dyer and davies guilty of sloppy passing, the good thing is that our centre halfs are having one of them days where they mop up everything. Tiendalli is very loose positionally but im not sure if its a tactical thing because if you look on the other side Davies is pushed in and routs is likr a full back when they have the ball. Overall we have to be happy to go in 0-0 ! it ios away to Spurs so we shouldn't be too harsh on the players, a bit more control like we showed early in the first half and we can create one or two problems of our own,just need Dyer to stop running up blind alleys with the ball, he knws rangel aint there so he has to cut his cloth accordingly !!
This is going to go like the Arsenal game, we knock at the end with too sharp goals. Moore will contribute to both.
Let's hope so Yankee Norway you're right about dyer. He's been doing it in the last few games, running into cul-de-sacs. Needs to play more 1-2's.
Well Spurs do tend to conceed in the last 10 minutes. Nice to see the defensive side of our game has improved tenfold since last week. Stop the sloppy passing and attack more and we can win this P.S. It was great to see Michu chase back and block the shot after he lost the ball.
