Swansea City can confirm the club will join all home teams in the EFL by paying tribute to the memory of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II prior to tonight’s fixture against Sheffield United. As the only EFL club hosting a fixture within Wales this evening we find ourselves in a unique position, and we feel it is appropriate during a time of national mourning to join the rest of the league in paying our respects. There will be a minute’s silence prior to kick-off this evening, while players from both sides will also wear black armbands.
It seems there will be no anthem then. I was worried about the anthem bit as there would most definitely be booing during that. I understand it's officially the anthem of the UK, but in reality it's seen as the anthem of England by the other home nations. A wise decision to avoid the media kicking up a storm I think.
Oli McBurnie starts for the blades and Rhian Brewster is on the bench. What are the odds one of the buggers score!
