Back to our usual mindset of not respecting the bottom clubs, just turn up is enough attitude. 10 shot with just 1 on target says it all......
We always struggle against the bottom teams, it is clearly a mind set issue, we only raise our game against the top clubs, that has to be put right.....
Just getting home from the match. Despite what the statistics may suggest, I thought that Portsmouth were well worth a point today. Their first goal came as a result of our faffing about at the back - and when we were 0-2, I’d have willingly taken a point. The fight back was impressive but I feel that we went down a notch when Joey went off. If he wanted to bring on Eom, I’d have taken off Peart-Harris. Similarly, if he felt Joe was flagging, I’d have brought on either Franco or Fulton. Towards the end Luke - yet again - brought on Abdulai and once again, Abdulai was dreadful
Abdulai is useless. Sorry, I don't like being disrespectful but we may as well play with 10. I'm not a fan of Peart-Harris either. Leave on Vip and Ron (who loses possession too easily but can also make things happen). Great to have Eom back, shame he was a bit rusty (understandably). Franco for Joe - yes. We were on top and pushing hard, the subs did absolutely nothing to help.
IMO.....need a new manager with positive attitude and new fresh faces. Easy to say I know. But for me...we are stagnant.
The first 10 minutes I thought we were going to have a great game and result. We then allowed Portsmouth to seize control by virtue of 2 sloppy goals only saving grace at 45 was the own goal. LW must have given the players a few kind words at the interval as they came out of the blocks on the front foot. The disappointing thing was the poor misses apart from their keepers brilliant saves. Abdullai yes is not a winger but surely he has enough intelligence to play forward passes or try to beat a man? Still a point is a point. 2 winnable games to come against Luton and Plymouth. Who knows perhaps Ginnelly will be fit now.
