The manager can only work with what's available. If they're crap he'll get crap results ! If they bin him I hope they ensure the next journey man is bringing better than we've got with him ! The outgoing guy can take who he wants except the keeper !

So today, Cullen, a goal poaching forward, selected at 10 where he offered no threat of scoring himself or providing an assist for someone else.

Peart-Harris, a midfielder, selected wide up front, where his involvement and influence on the game was limited.

Taking off Cullen and bringing on Allen when it’s 0-0 at home against mediocre opponents.

Ditto taking off Vipotnik for Cooper.

Somebody please explain the tactics to me….

Williams’ subs this season have been poor yet this seems to be up there as the worst of the lot.

If we can see what’s wrong, why can’t the Manager?

Cue Lib to turn up and ask what I know ….. <laugh>

    <ok>

I can understand wanting to be a possession team but that's it. Teams now know we'll fart about at the back and press us... at least let's have some sort of a break when they come out to press. Something, anything!

His subs have regularly been subs for subs sake. He's been consistent with this unfortunately. And with all due respect, the subs aren't improving us.

We're slowly getting worse, season on season. Sooner or later...

I guess we've seen enough to know we're not getting promoted <whistle>

Not sure if Joe coming off bench is past his sell by date best or just not suited to the managers idea of playing ?

It's nowhere near xmas yet but they need to start playing as if in a relegation battle already if they want to ensure they're safe in new year !
They're dropping like a stone after a reasonably steady start. But can turn it around if the players have a chat in private and squeeze the best bits of thier play out on the field regardless of what the guy on the line box says if they think he's out of his depth here ! But then he may interfere with bad subbing decisions.
They should be able to recover as well paid pro footy players ? The noisy neighbours have a bit after a very very **** start !

No access to the website at weekends so time to cool down especially after last saturday...Millwall were a poor team there for the taking and surely LW and his gang must have known this. We all know that pace is a quality that is needed in all sports including and more importantly in football at our level. But do we get it ? No its the slow keep possession at all costs at the back especially where Captain Marvel can do his record number of passes. Meanwhile Vipotnik and Cullen to a lesser degree survive on minimal scraps and very few chances. There seems to be a persistence for the goalie to kick the ball out to the wings/which seems to be a tactic that other teams have now sussed out....Just glad that we have a week off. Perhaps LW will have a change of tactics and pace maybe?

Really beginning to get disillusioned with whole thing, despite a lovely sunny day a nd my season ticket in my wallet I resisted the urge to attend Saturday but watched it with my visiting family and was I glad I did , its like groundhog day every match nearly every season since the yanks arrived , were making slow progress as a Club but in the wrong direction and once gravity takes a grip there only one way we're heading and it ain't up. In away I'm glad we lost then Williams who have to change his post match comments which are bland at best and cringey worthy at worst , a lot like the way we play .

As an after thought just recently my wife and I moved from our seats in the West that we had from day one up to hospitality..a better view and some comfort with a bar to retreat to if the game is dull and boring being able to watch on tv with a drink or two ...maybe but I much prefer watching the game live....

I agree with you, these last few years have now got to me. I always tried and get down for at least two games a season and make a weekend of it, would be down Christmas time, but not anymore can’t be arsed. I’m even considering not going to the Pompey game and that’s only 15mins to the Fratton Park for me. I will probably go as we’re going to take my Grandson to his first Swans game.

If the club and team ain't putting the effort in then neither will the fans who would tolerate it if the team put 100% effort every game but when they only have 50% in them it's not surprising to see more empty seats that makes many think why waste money on a season ticket to feel passed off most of the time watching crap ! When it's more entertaining and free to see local teams play instead ?

The problem is that when fans stop buying season tickets and pick the odd game they then think hang on its on tv at home or in the pub in the warm and stop going to matches altogether....they get out of the habit of going and then the mates or family think about going on their own and stop going.....its up to the players and management to start providing entertainment again and soon...

Getting out of the habit is a ‘dangerous’ thing to clubs. I recall - when I was involved with Neath during the 1990s - Brian Thomas telling me that S4C wanting games to kick off at 6pm or 6:30 on on a Saturday could be the death knell for some supporters - if they get out of the habit of attending (at 3pm) then they may stop altogether….

It’s not only supporters, but also sponsors may turn their backs <cheers>
