We are woeful guys, switched off and watched a bit of the Stoke game. The pace compared to ours is a different level.

Love the comment “Millwall have defended well” hell all you have to do is stand off us keep shape and watch us pass it aimlessly around.

Like watching paint dry. Russel is not the messiah, just **** football.

On the bright side, we are on a 2 match unbeaten run.

This is a work in progress apparently....slow slow stop slow. Millwall came for a stroll and no real problems their keeper making three easy s@ves from our rare shots 9n target, Ythe only bright spots were Hamer trying to get the game going forward the pace of our new no 9 and Walsh passing forward at every opportunity. Yes Grimes covered himself in praise for all his passes but most were sideways and backwrds slowly. Swans a fans will tire of the lack of goals quickly so come on the management get the work in progress progressed please

Just back in - deliberately not read previous comments as yet.

My view is that teams have already sussed out how to play ‘Martinball’…..

In the previous 4 encounters, Millwall have successfully played a high-press game against us - tonight they didn’t.

Rather they sat back, kept their shape because they knew that the Swans couldn’t hurt them. Why?

Simply, the Swans lack pace going forward. Why make only 2 or 3 passes when we we can make 32 or 33….

There was an immediate improvement when Obafemi came on, we started to finally attack at pace, and the introduction of Walsh suggested that we may have someone who has the creative eye to make and find an opening.

Hamer looks solid and safe in goals - we felt more at ease watching him than we did with Benda.

Naughton played really well, Bennett also had a decent game - but Manning was awful. Worst I’ve seen him play.

Ntcham was not as effective as last Saturday whilst Laird flattered to deceive at times.

Piroe is not a target man and, quite frankly, was a disappointment tonight.

Paterson was better tonight but Walsh’s cameo suggests he’s likely to be ahead of him in the pecking order.

Grimes was Grimes. Why pass sidewards when you can pass back? Why pass forwards when you can pass back?

Unless we can start to pick up the tempo and find someone who can score goals, it will be a long season.

Finally, from where we were sitting, Obafemi was in the box when he was brought down.

    Anyone have a better view?

Good report Taff but Obafemi was outside the white line of the box not a foot outside as the referee decided. He was a cl9ne of K Stroud clueless.

Bang on Taff. Walsh looked good in the pre-season game and as you will see from my post when he came on that I was hopeful he would get us going forward. Obafemi made a difference and should have scored.

Agree with most, I thought. Naughton was awful was one of the main culprits for slowing us down and if he is up against a tidy striker I doubt he is good enough defensively. I sort of get him right it left but not the centre of a three. The reason we kept it to nil is they were so poor going forward.
Walsh I agree if we can keep him fit we have a player. Grimes is just so negative I almost wish Fulham had signed him.
Agree with Hamer and think he looks the better option of him or Benda.
Not sure about Patterson and think he is the luxury when we are in top.

Hi TLF, really surprised by your comments about Naughton. The guys around us thought he was decent as well - gawd, I’ve even seen someone compliment him on Planet Swans <cheers>

Just heard on the radio Derby to be docked 9pts.

Could be the difference between us staying up or going down
