We may have witnessed one of the craziest Premier League’s games ever today. Swansea just managed to just edge past Crystal Palace 5-4 in the end, but the game took so many twists and turns, with both teams leading twice at some point within the match. - Jack Martorana
The biggest plus from today apart from the three points is the morale boost. It has to make a difference, surely? But after Bradley and his staff look over that footage again they cannot possibly pick Taylor and Fernandez to start next game.
****ing hell lads what a mental game Haven't seen your next few games but could be a turning point for you. Might do wonders for Llorentes confidence too.
Amazing game of football. At 3-1 up I thought this is exactly what we need and the result to change things regarding our prem future. Then go 4-3 down and thousands left the stadium and I couldn't blame any of them. We were down. Llorente and Siggy got us out of that not Bob. The change to bring on Rangel was awful stuff. I was stunned. Bring Montero on instead and we win comfortably and by more. Bob will surely learn big time from this game. Naughton deserves an hiding for his defending at the end of the 1st half after we scored. Just stood in front of Zaha without any challenge when Zaha hit the bar. Hope they show it on MOTD. Terrible. 3 points at last though but a lot to learn at the back.
Just got back in - what a match.... I can remember watching the Swans come back for a draw from 0-4 down against Rotherham in the old Division 3 - but this was something else...... If we stay up this season, this match will be seen as pivotal. Some observations A) former shareholders/directors still receiving benefits and seats in the Directors' Box - Dutch John for one B) Paul Williams may turn out to be an inspired choice as a No 2 (& foil) for Bob. Clearly, highly passionate and got into Pardew in the second half - Curt had to hold him back... C) playing without a striker, at home, is too negative, especially when you go behind. We said the only way we'd score when 0-1 down would be a Gylfi free-kick...... D) putting on Rangel was another negative decision by Bob that could have back-fired, but.... E) Bob recognised the need for width by putting on Monty (although that was a pretty obvious decision.....) but Bob did it, so fair play Must admit after 89 mins, I thought that relegation was nailed on, yet what a finish. The boys demonstrated fight & guts, 3 more home wins in December please
We are clueless at defending corners - and where is the coaching and insight from the touch line? Their 4th goal was a carbon copy of their 2nd.....
Absolute shambles in team selection , substitutions , timing of substitutions , defensive abilities . .Bob didn't win us this game but nearly lost it for us .Inept clueless and out of his depth but ONE positive we won
yes they can and probably will, why is Rangel still getting a gig and finally, why no strikers in starting line up again?????????????? crazy. I shudder to see what the starting 11 v Spurs next weekend
What a game! High in drama but extremely low in quality but a MASSIVE, MASSIVE three points for the Swans. Thats 4 points from six now. Don’t get me wrong, I won’t be singing Bradleys praises yet, because there was plenty wrong with what happened on the pitch, but the three points overrides everything today. We started at home with no strikers, while Palace showed their intent. It worked as they went into a 1-0 lead and looked comfortable. The Swans huffed and puffed, Barrow crossed, but there was no one in the box to deliver. Surely something must change. An excellent Siggy free kick. 1-1 at half time. The Swans start the second half better. We win a corner. Llorente comes on as sub, flicks on and Fer bundles over the line. A master substitution lol. Three minutes later another Fer goal. 3-1 and the Swans are cruising. The Liberty is rocking. Palace are dead and buried. “You’re getting sacked in the morning” sing the East Stand. No one knows which manager they’re singing to. All of a sudden we panic. A cock up in midfield leads to a corner. Palace score. 3-2, squeaky bum time. Five minutes later we’re 4-3 down as we collapse. Fans walk out. They’ve had enough. Tossers. The Swans look dead and buried now. The relegation trap door is pulled open and boom – it’s 4-4 on 90 minutes. We’ve salvaged a point. It’s not what we wanted but it’s better than losing and takes two points off Palace. Five minutes to go. “We can win this”. COOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMEOOOOOOOOOOON..................5FUCKING4....LLOOOOOOOOOORENTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYOUFUCKING BEAUTY! Come on ref, blow up. Montero attacks, he runs up the line. “Take it to the corner!”........he crosses straight to Hennessy “What the **** are you doing????????” Hennessy pumps the ball up. Palace mount a last gasp attack...................the Swans clear. The ref blows up. We’re off the bottom of the table. We’re two points from safety instead of five last week. We’ve got 4 points from 6 – but there’s still a huge mountain to climb. Did anyone hear the joke about the Swans fans who left when Palace went 4-3 up only to lose 5-4??
